Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research (GHS-IMR) recently organized its 17th annual convocation at its campus in Kanpur. The ceremony held on 4th May 2013 was graced by noted educationist and academician Prof M Anand Krishnan, Chairman, IIT Kanpur, as the chief guest for the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Krishnan congratulated the passing out batch on successful completion of their management programmes and asked them to be a leader in whatever they do in their career. He highlighted the importance of hard work and asked the budding managers to be honest and maintain high moral character in their professional life ahead.  
 
The academic procession at the convocation ceremony was led by Mr Y P Singhania, Chairman, GHSIMR; Prof. M. Anand Krishnan, Chairman, IIT Kanpur; Dr. Prithvi Yadav, Director, GHS-IMR; Mr. A.M. Rommi, Registrar, GHS-IMR, governing council members of the institute and faculty members. On the occasion, Dr. Prithvi Yadav presented the annual progress report and shared with audience the achievements of the institute in last one year. He also highlighted the future plans of the institute on the occasion.

According to the institute, as many as 90 students qualified for the diploma this year. The merit list this year was dominated by girls. While as many as 42 girl students secured first division, the number of boy student who passed in first division was 21. Chairman's Gold Medal and Silver Medal were won by Dipika Bajaj & Khushbu Bhojwani for securing first and second position respectively. Director's Merit Medals for securing Third, Fourth and Fifth Position were won by Shivani Jaiswal, Priyanka Khatri and Hina Jain.
