IMI awards PG diploma to over 200 students at 29th convocation

The International Management Institute, New Delhi held its 29th Annual Convocation at the Chinmaya Mission in New Delhi on May 29, 2013
As many as 210 students across the regular PGDM, PGDHRM; Part-time PGDM, and the Executive PGDM programmes obtained their diplomas in management education.
The International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi held its 29th Annual Convocation at the Chinmaya Mission Auditorium, New Delhi on May 29, 2013. The convocation address on the occasion was delivered by Mr R K Dubey, Chairman and Managing Director, Canara Bank. 

As many as 210 students across the regular PGDM, PGDHRM; Part-time PGDM, and the Executive PGDM programmes obtained their diplomas in management education.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr R K Dubey said, “It is noteworthy that IMI has established a consistent and impressive track record of producing a team of well rounded professionals suitable to take up challenging roles across diverse sectors in the industry, services and consulting spheres within and outside the country”. He asked students to work hard and follow ethics in their work and life.

Wishing the graduating students success in the career ahead, Shri Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of the IMI Board said, “I am confident that the acquired specialized skills in different management disciplines will complement very well with the all round personality development capabilities learnt at IMI to reinforce the innate competencies of all the students, making them a valuable asset to their employers”.

Dr. Pritam Singh, Director General, IMI, in his address complimented the faculty team for their contribution and the students for their committed performance. “IMI today is at a transformational and growth stage having already gone up in its overall standing as a leading management school in terms of its intellectual talent pool, academic, research skills and learning contribution both to the students and to the corporate sector,” he said, adding, “IMI’s management development programmes within and outside the country for senior and board level professionals in the industry are a one of its kind and sought after for their relevance and value adding capabilities.”

International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi was established in 1981 in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne). Besides a regular two-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Human Resource Management (PGDM-HR), the institute also conducts a 15- month Executive Post Graduate Diploma programme in Management (Executive PGDM) for middle-level managers with a minimum of five years’ working experience and a three-year PGDM (Part-Time) programme for working executives. In 2010, the institute also started a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). Besides its main campus in Delhi, the institute also runs its PGDM programmes from its two other campuses in Bhubaneswar and Kolkata.
