RICS 'Open day' to offer insight on specialised MBA programmes

RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University will hold sessions with students and parents on career opportunity in build environment during an ‘Open Day’ for students at Noida Campus of Amity University on June 6.
On the 'Open Day', Counsellors of RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University will guide prospective students about BBA and MBA programs across real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors

Aimed at helping students and their parents to understand career prospects in highly specialized areas like real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors, RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University is organising a day-long interaction programme at its Noida Campus on June 6. 

According to the institute, the ‘open day’ is scheduled on June 6 between 10 am – 4 pm at Noida campus of Amity University. An information session on ‘careers in built environment’ will also be held from 11am – 12pm, followed by Q&A with the Dean and Director of the School.

RICS - The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the world’s leading professional qualification and standard setting body in land, property and construction sector, and Amity University, a leading University in India, have together established the RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University at Noida campus.

The school representatives will discuss and counsel students on different management programs in the specialized areas during an informative session on the day.

The School of Built Environment offers a range of academic degree programs, including 3 year full time BBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure, 2 year full time MBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure (with specialization in Investment Finance or Marketing) & 2 year full time MBA in Construction Project Management. In addition, the School also offers a Ph.D. programme in built environment specializations for practicing professionals in sector.

This industry led School is also supported by the Ministry of Urban Development and aims to bridge the gap in real estate, construction, infrastructure sectors and associated services by delivering ‘industry ready’ professionals from the day students complete their education and step into the industry.

RICS School of Built Environment Dean Emeritus Prof. K. T. Ravindran who carries over 30 years of experience in academia, will also address the students and speak on employment opportunities within the real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors.

Speaking on the opportunities within the built environment, Prof Ravindran, who also served as Dean of the School of Planning and Architecture and the Chairman of the Delhi Urban Arts Commission, said, “Although the real estate and construction sectors are key contributors to the economy, there is a complete vacuum of education and training options available for professionals to enhance and hone their skills.”

“Visiting students and their parents will have the opportunity to seek answers to all questions regarding the courses and employment prospects within the Built Environment,” he said.
