MDI Gurgaon inducts new batch under PGPM, PGP-HRM and PGP-IM

MDI Gurgaon has inducted new batches under its different management programmes including flagship PGPM, PGP-HRM and PGP-IM for the academic session 2013-15.
During the induction programme that ended on June 25, the institute shared insight with the new students on the history of the institutions, its ethos and vision.

Management Development Institute Gurgaon has inducted new batches under its different management programmes including flagship PGPM, PGP-HRM and PGP-IM for the academic session 2013-15, during a 5-day ceremony at its campus.

During the induction programme that ended on June 25, the institute shared insight with the new students on the history of the institutions, its ethos and vision. Dr. Mukul P Gupta, Director, MDI Gurgaon welcomed the student at the campus and asked them to develop thoughts beyond the natural logic. He said that “2 + 2 is not always 4 in management education and the students now need to go beyond logic, numbers and rationality”.

During the induction programme, the institute also witnessed many corporate leaders addressing the news students and sharing management insight with them.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Mr. Anil Chaoudhary, MD Schneider Electric India asked the students to prepare their short-term and long-term goals and follow a strict discipline to achieve the same. “Though we have to keep a tab on short term goals don’t forget long term vision. Stick to those ethics, principles and corporate social responsibility, personally you will be gaining and such platform by Management Development Institute will make you great leaders,” he said.

Mr Daljit Singh, President, Fortis Healthcare asked students to take initiatives and exhibit their leadership qualities. “Things are never static as you grow; at every level in life you have someone with you and someone below you and someone above you as well. Thus, at any level one has an opportunity to demonstrate leadership. For example, sitting at the MDI campus you can be a leader by initiating a research topic which will help you horning your leadership skills,” he said.

According to the institute, focus of the management programmes at MDI is on providing value-based education and an action-centric research environment to develop students into professional managers with an all rounded business perspective.

MDI is one of the top B-Schools of the country. The institute was accredited by South Asian Quality Systems (SAQS) in 2005.The long-term education programmes are accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA), U.K.
