UPES holds 14th convocation ceremony to confer degrees to its students on June 18, 2016. The ceremony was held at University’s Bidholi, Dehradun campus and was presided over by Honourable Dr. K K Paul, Governor, Uttarakhand, who also delivered the convocation address. Shri KD Tripathi, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was the Chief Guest of the event. Speaking on the occasion, Shri K D Tripathi said, ‘Skill India initiative of Government of India is an ambitious programme to connect government bodies, academia and industries to prepare a roadmap for the development of the nation. UPES plays an important role in providing skilled manpower so that they can bring a change.’ Dr. K K Paul said, ‘The quality of education provided by UPES and the University’s contribution in the development of the people of Uttarakhand is praise worthy. It is due to institutions like UPES that Dehrahun is now known as one of the educational hubs of India.

6 students were awarded University Gold Medal, 47 students received Silver Medal, 3 students received Institutional Medals and 5 Students were awarded medals in the Executive Program Category. Sanchay Mukherjee was awarded Siddhu Mal & Sons Gold Medal for Best Corporate Student 2016, Bhavesh Gupta was awarded Narayan Sahai Gold Medal for Outstanding Post Graduation Student of Oil & Gas Sector 2016 and Anupreethi B was awarded I.N. Mehta Gold Medal for Outstanding Post Graduate Student of College of Engineering Studies 2016.
