IMC gains global recognition; Canadian High Commissioner to host IMC Speakers & Invitees

Canada will host speakers and special invitees of 4th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) at its Indian Embassy on August 1.
As a country partner of IMC 2013 to be held on 2-3 August, Canadian High Commissioner will host a special dinner for the speakers and special invitees of the Conclave on Aug 1.

Canada which is home to some of the top globally ranked B-schools like Rotman Business School, Schulich School of Business, Sauder School of Business amongst many others, will host speakers and special invitees of 4th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) at its Indian Embassy in New Delhi on August 1.

As a country partner of Indian Management Conclave 2013 to be held on 2-3 August, Canadian High Commissioner Mr Stewart Beck will host a special dinner for the speakers and special invitees of the annual MBA Educators Conclave on August 1.

“The High Commission of Canada is pleased to be associated with MBAUniverse.com as a partner country for 4th Indian Management Conclave (IMC),” said Mr Stewart Beck, Canadian High Commissioner to the Republic of India.

Acknowledging the Indian Management Conclave an excellent platform to promote management education in India and to discuss and find solutions to challenges facing the sector, Mr Beck said that hosting the Indian MBA Educators will be an opportunity to exchange ideas with them on management education in both the county.

Mr Stewart Beck is the High Commissioner to the Republic of India with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Bhutan and to Nepal. An MBA himself, Mr Beck joined the Department of External Affairs and International Trade in 1982 and served abroad in the United States, Taiwan and the People’s Republic of China. 

Mr Amit Agnihotri, Convenor, Indian Management Conclave (IMC) and Chairman, MBAUniverse.com said, “With management education increasingly going global, Indian B-schools are looking to collaborate with international B-schools.  Partenering with Canada for Indian Management Conclave is our endeavour to further facilitate these idea exchanges and collaborations.”

He said that on one hand IMC has speakers from Asian countries like Singapore & China, on the other hand the annual conference also has top B-schools representative from western countires. “The IMC will present a blend of management thoughts from East and West,” he added.

Canada is the home of some of the world’s top management schools. These schools have developed a reputation for developing and delivering innovative prorammes to meet the demands and challenges of the global market place.

The IMC 2013 will have Global thought leaders sharing their management insight with Indian MBA Educators. The distinguished global thought leaders who will address IMC 2013 include Dr Michael Luger, Director, Manchester Business School, UK; Dr Zhou Lin, Dean, ACEM, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai; and Dr Rajendra K Srivastava, Deputy President, Singapore Management University amongst others.

Industry Insight:

Top CXOs and HR heads will address the IMC Conference 2013 over the two days on August 2-3.  A special panel of top HR heads, industry Experts and distinguished academic thought leaders will address the IMC 2013 during a special session that will set the agenda of the IMC Conference. The speakers will highlight the challenges & opportunities in Indian MBA Education.

Highly respected HR thought-leader & Bharti Airtel Human Resources Executive Director Krish Shankar will share his insight on B-schools’ role in capability building and talent sustainability. 
Leadership Guru & Kimberly Clark Lever MD Prakash Iyer will share his insights on ways of developing leadership qualities among budding mangers.

Dr Bala Balachandran, Founder & Dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai & Dr H Chaturvedi, Alt President, EPSI & Director, BIMTECH, Delhi-NCR amongst others will bring insight from B-school perspective at the session.

1st IMC Awards 2013

Apart from facilitating discussion & debate on challenges and opportunities facing Indian MBA education sector among key stakeholders like B-school promoters & their academic leadership i.e. Directors, Deans, Registrars, Admission Heads, Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2013 will bring fresh ideas that are bringing positive results for B-schools.

The 1st IMC Awards 2013, held in conjunction with 4th IMC, will highlight ideas that some of the B-schools have adapted by changing landscape, updating their curriculum, placement efforts, and adding a lot more strength to their marketing plans. A selected set of 12 IMC Awards 2013 finalists will showcase their innovative ideas and unique initiatives through case-study presentations at Indian Management Conclave (IMC) to be held on August 2-3, 2013 in New Delhi.
