Aimed at helping MBA aspirants choose the right B-schools in the country, MBAUniverse.com has launched the annual B-school Ranking Survey for 2014. The survey is being conducted under the guidance of a high-power advisory body, headed by Dr Bakul Dholakia, former director of IIM Ahmedabad, and a well known management expert.
The annual MBAUniverse.com B-school Ranking Survey 2014, to be released on October 15, 2013, is now underway. The results of this survey will reach & influence more than 150,000 MBA aspirants and working executives. The release of survey results is planned to coincide with CAT exam, which begins on Oct 16.
Speaking on the survey, Dr Dholakia, who has four decades of professional experience including 33 years at IIM Ahmedabad, said the MBAUniverse.com Ranking Survey is a very important annual exercise as it will help the community recognize and respect some of the best B-schools. “MBAUniverse.com B-school Survey, now in its 4th year, is an endeavour to assess the quality of top Indian B-schools and offer an objective & realistic yardstick to students and recruiters. I am happy to guide this process, said Dr Dholakia, presently an advisor to the Adani Group.
The B-school Ranking Advisory Body which will guide the Ranking process also includes Dr Rajesh Shukla, former Director of National Council for Applied Economic Research (NCAER).
Speaking on the annual B-school Rankings survey, Mr Amit Agnihotri, Chairman, MBAUniverse.com, said, “The results of B-school survey 2014 aims at providing an authentic and credible tool to MBA aspirants who will be seeking admission to B-schools of their choice after taking CAT 2013 and other entrance exams.” He further added, “Our survey is based on unique methodology – that covers ‘Inputs’, ‘Processes’ and ‘Outputs’ of a B-school. A comprehensive questionnaire covers these data points. Our Rankings are completely based on Data and Facts, and has no ‘Perception’ surveys.”

Participation in the survey is open to all B-schools who meet following criteria:
1. At least 3 years old
2. Offer a 2-year full-time management programme
3. Offer a diploma/degree programme that is recognized by a university or the AICTE or an overseer/body recognized by the government of India
MBAUniverse.com has already sent a 15-page detailed questionnaire prepared by domain experts and HR heads to more than 200 B-schools to collect validated data. The learnings from the best-practices that were showcased in the Awards case-study presentations at 4th MBAUniverse.com Indian Management Conclave 2013 & IMC Awards have also been used to improve our survey questionnaire. Recognising the growing prominence of Private University MBA departments, the questionnaire carries specific questions for such B-schools.
