IIM Indore is celebrating its seventeenth foundation day ceremony with one and a half day conference on October 2 & 3 with the theme Creating and Sustaining institutions-the Indian Experience

IIM Indore is celebrating its seventeenth foundation day on October 3, 2013 with a conference on the theme of ‘Creating and sustaining institutions- the Indian Experience’ on October 2 & 3. Many distinguished speakers including Prof T V Rao of IIM Ahmedabad and Prof. 

Devanath Tirupathi, the Officiating Director, IIM Bangalore will share their experiences on institution building and academic leadership. Shri Ashok Thakur, Secretary, MHRD is expected toinaugurate the conference.

The Chief Guest for the second day would be Dr. M.N. Buch, IAS Retd. and BoG member of IIM Indore. Dr. T. V. Rao, Adjunct Professor of IIM Ahmedabad would address the valedictory session.

Parsuraman, Director of  TISS; Prof. Deepak Pental, Former Vice Chancellor, Delhi University; Prof. V Raju,Vice Chancellor, VIT University, Vallore; Prof. V L Mote IIM Ahmedabad; Prof. Gautam Barua, Mentor Director, IIIT Guwahati; Mr. Deepak Satwalekar, former Director HDFC Bank ltd.; Prof. P Balaram, Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Dr. T G Sagar, Director and Dean of Cancer Institute, Chennai and Mr. N S Khannan, Executive Director, ICICI Bank.

The one and half day conference comprises different topics revolving around the theme like  Evolution of Management Institutions ,Reflection on Institutional Building, academic leadership, learning from practicing world and also contain two experience sharing sessions. The conference aims to provide an opportunity to Directors, Deans to reflect on the challenges in institutional building and the experience of other ones in Indian context.

Indian Institute of Management Indore, lead by its director Dr N. Ravichandran, is the sixth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools. The institute was chosen to be set up in Indore to give an impetus to management education in central India and has ever since been contributing to the field of management, interfacing with the industry, government sectors and PSUs.
