The stage is all set for the 3rd MBAUniverse.com Directors’ Roundtable Conference which is going to be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. The theme of the conference is ‘Conquering the Chaos: Preparing globally relevant MBAs’.
The keynote address will be delivered by Mr Ravi Venkatesan, Director on the Boards of Infosys and AB Volvo. Fellow of the Center for Higher Ambition Leadership, Boston Mr. Venkatesan has served as the chairman of Microsoft India from 2004 to 2011 and has also been a member of Global Alumni Board of Harvard Business School. An alumnus of IIT Bombay, Purdue University and Harvard Business School Mr Venkatesan is the author of the book, ‘’ Conquering the chaos: Win in India, Win Everywhere’’.
The special address will be delivered by Dr S Raghunath, Dean (Admin) and Professor of Corporate Strategy at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. His area of specialization is Strategic Alliance and Strategic Leadership. He was a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University and also a Visiting Professor at INSEAD, France and HEC Paris, amongst others. Dr Raghunath was also the global director of Professor Henry Mintzberg promoted International Masters Program for Practising Managers (IMPM) in 2010-11.
After the boom of 90s (lasting up to 2008), Indian B-schools have been facing the biggest crisis of their lives. Admissions, Placements & Curriculum, all that were taken for granted, are now the matter of grave concern to every Chairman and Director. To share the concern over the issue, a panel discussion based on the theme ‘Conquering the Chaos: Strategic Choices for Indian B-schools’ will be held during the conference in which chairmen, chancellors and directors from leading B schools of South India will discuss about the biggest crisis being faced by 99 % of the Indian B schools and strategic choice which they can make to ‘conquer the chaos’.
