Prof Peter Lorange is the President of the Lorange Institute of Business and one of the world’s foremost business school academics. For 15 years, he was the President of IMD, Lausanne, one of Europe’s leading business schools. He will address the meet in capital from Switzerland via a video link.
The discussion is set in the backdrop of the recently published book by Dr Jagdish Sheth titled “The Business School in the Twenty-First Century.” The book is published by Cambridge University Press in 2013, with two co-authors Prof. Peter Lorange, founding Dean of IMD Switzerland and presently the President of Lorange Institute and Prof. Howard Thomas, Dean of SMU Singapore. The book addresses questions on the Status, Identity and Legitimacy of Business Schools in modern University System and the three world experts share their critical insights on management education and new business school models in the US, Europe and Asia on designing the business school of the future and how to make it work.
Prof Peter Lorange is the owner and the president of the Lorange Institute of Business and one of the world’s foremost business school academics. For 15 years, he was the President of IMD, Lausanne, one of Europe’s leading business schools. Mr. Lorange is Professor of Strategy at IMD and holds the Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Chair of International Shipping. In addition to his academic background, Mr. Lorange has gained extensive shipping know-how as director on several shipping company boards. Moreover, he has written or edited twenty books and some 120 article. His area of special interest is global strategic management, strategic planning and entrepreneurship for growth.
