This year`s CAT Aspirants will have greater opportunity for admission into the IIMs

The much awaited CAT 2013 results will indeed be announced on January 14, 2014. While talking to MBAUniverse.com on January 11, 2014, CAT convener Dr Rohit Kapoor of IIM Indore said, “Yes, CAT 2013 results will be declared on January 14.” He however refused to tell about the exact timing of the result declaration but the official IIM CAT 2013 Website says that the CAT 2013 results will be live by 9:00 am on January 14.

Dr Kapoor also informed that the online CAT 2013 results window will remain open till December 2014.

After the CAT 2013 results are out tomorrow, the next big thing to watch out for is the shortlists for GDPIWAT for various IIMs. Starting with IIM A, C, B, shortlists will be announced in next 10 days. Six IIMs are expected to announce their shortlist for CAP by end of January. When asked by MBAUniverse.com to share specific dates for shortlists, Dr Kapoor said. “The IIMs are expected to come out with the first short list for Admission 2014 by last week of January 2014.”

15000 candidates to be called for 3335 seat @ IIMs

For their 3335 seats, IIMs are expected to give more than 15000 calls. This year, IIMs have increased their capacity to accommodate more students from this year. The 13 Indian Institutes of Management have altogether added more than hundred seats for admission year 2014, taking the total tally to 3335 seats, across 13 IIMs. “Yes, this year’s CAT Aspirants will have greater opportunity for admission into the IIMs,” Dr Rohit Kapoor said, adding, “Across all IIMs, 115 seats have been added for B-School admissions this year, taking the total number of seats in IIMs to 3,335.”
