Q. Please share the key trends in applications. How many students have applied for admission 2014?
Ans. More than 7000 applications were received till the 10th of Feb. 2014 for the 5 programs offered by BIMTECH at Greater Noida and the PGDM Program at Bhubaneswar. The Institute has seen an almost 10% increase in the number of applications this year, on a year to year basis.
Q. Can the candidates still apply for admission in any of the various PGDM programmes offered by BIMTECH?
Ans. Applications are still open for the sectoral program of Insurance, Retail and Sustainable Development.
Q. What is the Process of short listing the candidates for GDPIWAT?
Ans. The process of GD/PI for those whose applications were received on or before 26th Jan. 2014 was conducted pan India on the 8th and 9th of Feb. 2014 and at Greater Noida between 21st -27th Feb. The Institute shortlists applicants for GD/PI on the basis of the Cut-offs for the tests like CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/MAT depending upon the program the applicant wishes to apply for.
Q. What is the date of beginning the GDPIWAT process? When will the final results be announced?
Ans. GD/PI and write-up process is already over and the results which are currently under process are expected in the second week of March 2014.

Q. What are the evaluation matrix/criteria for converting the calls to final admission?
Ans. Written examination score of CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT in the final admission round of BIMTECH Greater Noida is awarded 20 percent weightage. Academic record and work experience have a weightage of 25 percent which is more than the weightage awarded to any single component. WAT and GD are awarded a weightage of 10 percent each while PI (personal interview) carries a weightage of 20 percent.
Q. What’s unique about the selection criteria to admission 2014?
Ans. BIMTECH will Offer Scholarships for applicants, with High CAT percentile, being offered admission with the aim to attract applicants with high caliber. With a view to achieve good class diversity the selection process gives additional weightage to applicants from the Eastern and Southern states of India.
Another key feature is that the BIMTECH Alumni Referral Scheme gives additional 10% weightage for applicants referred to by BIMTECH Alumni.
Q. Please share the key components of final admission round.
Ans. There are three components of final admission round-WAT,GD and PI. Writing Ability process is a 10 minute test aimed to test the written communication skill of the candidate. Group Discussion (GD) is also an integral part of the process, although it is not caselet based GD. The purpose of GD is to assess group and team skills among the applicants. The process will be followed by caselet based personal interview.
Q. What are the USPs of BIMTECH?
Ans. BIMTECH Greater Noida has 70+ full time Faculty from industry and academia, most of whom reside on campus and are available 24*7 to guide and mentor the students.
