The executive Placement process at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai is over for the final year students of the MMS course 2012-14. Present intake in MMS programme at JBIMS is 120 students.
Placement season 2014 at JBIMS has seen more recruiters making more offers than last year. Apart from maintaining 100% placement record JBIMS witnessed increase in annual salary packages and as such the placement 2014 has reflected an upward swing in recruitment beating the slow down.

Key Trends in JBIMS placements 2014
JBIMS Mumbai has a consistent record of 100% placement. The placement season 2014 is no exception to the trend. A total of 119 students from MMS programme sought placement in 2014.
Rise in Number of recruiters
Placement 2014 witnessed a registration of 95 recruiters out of whom 89 visited the campus. There were 88 companies in placement 2013. Number of new recruiters also visited the campus. CRC, JBIMS says “New relationships were fostered with various corporations that recruited for the first time”.
Increase in Job offers and Roles
According to Corporate relations Committee at JBIMS “Students were offered a variety of profiles across a plethora of domains spanning the entire industrial spectrum”. The students accepted 58 Pre Placement Offers from the recruiters in different sectors.
Banking Finance Services and insurance (BFSI) sector topped the list by placing 43% of the offers. Next was FMCG and pharma with 26% offers each. Telecom and IT made 14% while consulting 10% offers respectively. Manufacturing sector made rest 7% offers.
Annual packages are up
Beating the slowdown in placement offers, the placement season 2014 at JBIMS saw a rise in average salary by Rs.0.86 lakhs. The average salary increased from Rs.15.32 lakhs to Rs. 16.18 lakhs in placement 2014 from placement 2013. Median salary also increased from Rs.14 lakhs per annum in 2013 to Rs. 14.5 lakhs in 2014. The highest salary in placement stood at Rs. 26 lakhs which is nearly same as placement 2013

Out of 89 recruiters in JBIMS placement 2014, major recruiting companies making maximum number of offers include JP Morgan, Barclays, ICICI Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, ING Vysya, Tata Capital, Nomura, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis, Hindustan Unilever, Nivea, Emami, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, P&G, ITC, Cipla, Ranbaxy, Microsoft, Google, TCS, HCL, Wipro, Infosys, Zycus, Newgen, L&T, McKinsey & Company, The Boston Consulting Group, Ernst & Young, Cognizant.
