With the declaration of MAHCET 2014 results, DTE Maharashtra is all set to begin the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) on May 12, 2014 for admission 2014-16 batch of MBA/MMS/PGDM programmes across Maharashtra for Maharashtra domicile as well as for outside Maharashtra candidates.

Who can attend the CAP?
According to DTE Maharashtra “Candidates securing Non Zero Positive marks/score in MAH-MBA/ MMS-CET 2014 or GMAT/CAT/ MAT/ ATMA / XAT/ CMAT 2014 (conducted by AICTE) / Association CET/ Any other equivalent CET will be eligible to get admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course in the State of Maharashtra” However, the candidates must have duly registered with DTE Maharashtra for MAH-CET 2014, although it is not important whether they appeared in MAH-CET 2014 examination.
Remember the important dates in CAP
Candidates will be called for document verification, updation and confirmation of application form for admission in person at ARC for Maharashtra as well as Outside Maharashtra State candidature with effect from May 12, 2014 to May 22, 2014.
Please check that all the documents have been kept ready by you as per the DTE Maharashtra requirement.
Provisional and final Merit lists
DTE Maharashtra will display the provisional merit lists for Maharashtra state as well as outside Maharashtra state candidates on May 26, 2014. Although the time for display of this merit list has been fixed at 5 P.M., going by the DTE Maharashtra strategy in publication of results, you could expect the display even before that.
The final merit list will be available on June 2, 2014

Allotment of seat
Admission to the B school through CAP and allotment of seat shall be strictly on the basis of the merit number in the respective merit list for Maharashtra State/All India candidates as per the options given by the candidate and the number of seats available for that candidate during the process of allotment.
Importance of state level merit number
Each Maharashtra State candidate who has appeared and qualified the MAH‐MBA/MMS CET 2014 will be assigned a State level Merit Number on the basis of percentile obtained in the test. MAH‐MBA/MMS CET 2014.
For All India seats the relevant state level merit number will be assigned to the candidates on the basis of performance in CAT 2013/CMAT 2014/ GMAT / MAT 2014/XAT/ATMA apart from MAH-MBA/MMS‐CET 2014. If the candidate has appeared for multiple examinations, the best percentile shall be considered to assign the merit number. So far as CMAT exam is concerned, since it does not give result in percentile, its score shall be converted into percentile. The best
percentile of CMAT shall be considered for preparation of Merit.
Candidates who have appeared in MAT should remember that the scores of 2014 shall only be considered for preparation of merit by DTE Maharashtra.
5 important Do’s
- Thoroughly check that all the documents including the hard copy of your score card have been kept ready
- Ensure before registering for CAP and applying for a particular University’s programme that you fulfil the eligibility criteria of the said University
- Please note that the score of MAH‐MBA/ MMS‐CET 2014 will be valid only for the academic year 2014‐15, so gear up for CAP
- Please confirm the admission by reporting at the Respective Institute mentioned in allotment list with the identity proof, original certificates needed for admission
