IFIM Business School welcomed the PGDM batch of 2014-16 on 16th July, 2014. The ceremony was presided over by the Chief Guest, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Director- HP Global Analytics, IFIM’s Alumni; Mr. Shivam Sinha, Zonal Head South- Standard Chartered Bank Ltd., Dr. Madhumita Chatterji, Director- IFIM and Dr. R.S Nirjar, Executive Chairman- Board of Governors, IFIM.
The ceremony started with the new students receiving lighted lamps from the faculty resembling the exchange of values to their new batch of students.
IFIM Director, Dr. Madhumita Chatterji delivered the welcome address wherein she spoke about IFIM’s vision and stressed upon the fact that the students need to keep up the vision of the institute and make the best use of their education through honesty and integrity.
Mr Pradeep Kumar asked the new batch ‘Unlock your potential’ and motivated the future managers by sharing 5 points to live by as a professional and a human being. Speaking on the occasion he inspired the students to be aware of the changes that were happening around them, to be on the lookout for the opportunities in our environment, to increase the circle of influence, determine goals and try to achieve it with passion. According to him the students should be the active contributors to the society.
Mr. Shivam Sinha, alumni of IFIM expressed his feeling of humbleness of being invited to his alma mater. He advised the new batch of students to be active in sports, which teaches us to win as well as loose gracefully. He also asked them to have confidence and impart that onto others.
