CAT 2014 exam: No change in CAT Registration Process; 99 Exam cities announced

MBAUniverse.com brings before you the first hand information shared by IIM Indore in regard to various aspects of CAT 2014 exam registration process. The process will be totally on-line and will open on August 6, 2014.

IIM Indore in partnership with the CAT 2014 testing agency TCS has not declared any change in CAT 2014 registration process. The process will be totally on-line and will open on August 6, 2014.

 

MBAUniverse.com brings before you the first hand following important information shared by IIM Indore in regard to various aspects of registration.

 

Valid Registration data

 

The CAT 2014 application data will be treated as final, and no change in it will be permitted at a later stage. CAT aspirants should remember that in case of detection of any variation in the data provided at the CAT selection stage with the actual data, the candidature may be nullified.

 

Please note that online registration for CAT 2014 begins on Wednesday, 6th August 2014 at 10:00AM and will end on Tuesday, 30th September 2014 at 11:59PM.

 

 

 

Aspirants must have the following throughout the selection Process:

 

- Valid and unique Email ID

 

- CAT User ID (will be provided to the aspirant via email after completion of online registration)

 

 

 

How to correct the mistakes in registration process

 

 If you make any mistake(s) while registering for CAT 2014, you can make changes later to rectify the same as follows-

 

-You may select “Existing User Login” on CAT website to make changes to your personal details, such as address, educational information or exam city preferences.

 

 

 

Following will not be allowed to rectify

 

For security reasons, editing of candidate’s full name, date of birth, email id, mobile number and Country will not be allowed.

 

 

 

Get satisfied and then submit

 

The ability to edit application profile will be available only until you have not submitted the Application Form. Once you have submitted and made the payment, you will not be allowed to make any more changes. You may only view and print thereafter.  Hence please make sure before clicking on the submit button that the information entered by you is correct in all respects.

 

 

 

How to pay the fee

 

The CAT exam fee is payable at the time of online registration via a valid credit, debit card or online net banking facility.

 

Getting the Admit Card

 

Please note that you will be eligible for an Admit Card only upon submission of online application form. You will receive an automated email confirmation upon successful submission.

 

The admit card can be downloaded wef October 16, onwards but no hard copy of the admit card will be issued. It will be only available on the CAT Website when you log on using your CAT User ID.  Admit Card is a mandatory document required to take the exam. You must take a print out of the Admit Card as the same will be required at the exam centre.

 

 

 

The admit card will contain the following details:

 

-Name of the candidate

 

 -Exam date

 

 -Time (Forenoon or Afternoon Session)

 

 -Exam Centre address

 

 -User ID
  

 

Examination Cities

 

State wise list of exam cities has been announced for CAT 2014 and is appended. However, this list will be updated as more exam centers are allocated for CAT 2014. Following is the currently available list of exam cities announced by the CAT 2014 test convening IIM Indore and testing agency TCS.

 

The list of 99 exam cities has included many small towns and cities of small states as well as newly created states like Telangana. In a few states like Goa, Himachal Pradesh, instead of capital city other prominent city has been awarded the status of examination centre for CAT 2014.

 

Maharashtra has highest number of 11 examination cities followed by Uttar Pradesh with 9 examination cities for CAT 2014.

Although online guides and videos are designed to enable self-service and aspirants are supposed to make optimum utilization of these tools as they can guide well through the entire process and help answer most of the aspirants’ queries.
