SPJain, NMIMS, Symbiosis, Jaipuria, TAPMI, IIM Shillong, MICA, FMS-BHU win IMC Awards 2014

Beating top B-schools in a three-tier evaluation process, SPJain, NMIMS, Symbiosis and Jaipuria have won the coveted Gold Award at the Indian Management Conclave (IMC) Awards, popularly known as IMC Awards.
The IMC Silver Awards 2014 were won by IIM Shillong, TAPMI, MICA and FMS-BHU.

The awards were presented to the winners by senior BJP leader Dr Subramanian Swamy and Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Jt. MD of Hero MotoCorp at the Valedictory session of 5th Indian Management Conclave on August 9. There were four Silver Winners for IMC Awards 2014. 

 

 

Gold and Silver Award was presented in each of the four themes of IMC Awards 2014. The IMC Silver Awards 2014 were won by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong; T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal; MICA Ahmedabad and Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

 

 

The annual IMC Awards, an integral part of IMC Conference, recognizes the Innovations & Best-practices in Curriculum, Pedagogy, Industry-engagement & Marketing in Indian Management Education. More than 50 B-schools including IIMs, XLRI, IIFT, SIBM and Great Lakes, participated in the 2014 nomination process. The IMC Award were judged by three highly respected MBA educators -- Dr Bakul Dholakia, Former Director, IIM Ahmedabad; Dr Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University and Dr Rishikesha Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore.

 

 

Global publisher McGraw Hill is publishing ‘IMC 2014 Conference Proceedings’, a hard-copy 200 page book that will document and highlight learnings from each of the IMC Award Winners. With the help of this publication, hundreds of B-schools will be also be learn and adopt these Best-practices.

5th IMC 2014 Conference, a grand success

 

 

Meanwhile, the 5th edition of Indian Management Conclave (IMC), which commenced on the morning of August 8 in New Delhi, was a grand success.

 

 

Conclave saw the participation of best minds from India and abroad to discuss the conference theme – Envisioning the Future of Indian MBA Education. 40 speakers from 10 countries addressed the conclave, which was attended by more than 300 educators, deans, directors and other distinguished delegates.

 

 

Inaugural session hosted distinguished speakers like Dr Ricardo A. Lim, Dean, Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila & Chairman, Philippine Academy of Management (PAoM); Mr Pradeep Singh, Deputy Dean, Indian School of Business (ISB) & CEO, Mohali Campus; Dr Madhukar Angur, Chancellor, Alliance University, Bangalore.

 

 

On the occasion, ‘Vision 2025 for Indian Management Education’ document was presented by Dr H Chaturvedi, Alternate President, Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI) & Director, BIMTECH & Mr Amit Agnihotri, Convener, Indian Management Conclave and Chairman, MBAUniverse.com.
