According to GMAC, given the increase in interest for “pre experienced Masters programs” like Masters in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Finance and other programs like Harvard 2+2, ISB YLP, which offer deferred admission to undergraduate students, On-campus test center is an ideal platform for undergraduate students to give the GMAT exam from the campus.
Commenting on the association, Dr M J Xavier, Executive Director of VIT University said, “VIT University is proud to associate with GMAC in setting up their test center in our campus. This will help students.”
Ashish Bhardwaj, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), said, “We are delighted to launch our first ‘On Campus Test Center’ at the Vellore campus of VIT University. This initiative brings the GMAT closer to undergraduate students and enables them to take the exam on their campus at their convenience.”
Number of GMAT test takers has consistently been increasing in India. The number in 2013 has grown by more than 2500 candidates from the year 2011 – from 20,079 in 2011 to 22,878 in 2013. In total 250,090 candidates took the GMAT exam in 2013.
