MBA Full Time at FMS Delhi is a two-year programme. The first year will be invested to impart knowledge on fundamentals like Human Resources, Organisational Effectiveness & Change, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Quantitative Methods, Computer Applications in Management.

 

After this summer Internship awaits you with or without stipend before starting of the third semester.

 

There are 22 core courses and over 78 elective courses offered in second year. Students are required to complete 8 core or elective courses or a combination of both in every semester.

 

Leadership at FMS Delhi:

The Team at FMS Delhi is led by Dr. M.L.Singla, an alumni of FMS and Professor of Information Technology Management and Re-engineering at the Faculty of Management Studies(FMS), University of Delhi. He has been with FMS for the last 29 years. Dr Singla started his career with Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), post his MBA in 1983. He has also worked with the Management Development Institute(MDI), Gurgoan as well as has taught and researched at the College of Business and Economics, California State University, Fullerton,USA.

Dr.Singla has a B.E.(Mechanical Engineering) from Punjab University, Chandigarh(1981); an M.B.A. from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi(1983); and Ph.D. in Management from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi(India).

Faculty at FMS

The faculty at FMS makes learning a different experience altogether. FMS is among the few B Schools of India, where every permanent faculty member is a PhD. The faculty is also involved in various consultancy programmes and MDPs. Active engagements, informed thought and dynamic teamwork makes the FMS experience unique amongst its peers.

Number of Permanent faculty members at FMS are 28 against a strength of 200 students. The school has an ideal student faculty ratio of 7:1.

How to get in the MBA Full time at FMS Delhi

 

Previously FMS used to have its own entrance exam, now admission process is based on CAT, thus selection to the FMS MBA FT course will be based on Personal interview, Group discussion and CAT score.

 

Shortlisted candidates on the basis of overall CAT percentile are called for a Group discussion and Personal interview round, before being offered admission.

 

The final selection is based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the CAT Score as well as the group discussion and personal interview round.

 

Percentile needed to be shortlisted at FMS

 

The dream B school may open its gates in session 2015-16 to aspirants who score excellent in CAT 14. Approximately 98 percentile in CAT 2014 will be needed for a general category candidate to be shortlisted for GD/PI round at FMS.
