India’s new age entrepreneurs are showing the way to the world. Indian business environment has been reshaped by the post-liberalization entrepreneurs, making India the center of entrepreneurial activity.

That’s the message from Commerce and Industry minister Mr Kamal Nath, while delivering the inaugural address at TiE Entrepreneurial Summit.

Said Mr Kamal Nath, “India produces more entrepreneurs than any other country in the world. India is the epicenter of entrepreneurial activity. This is the place to be.”

Highlighting new challenges for entrepreneurs, Mr Nath said, “In the globalized world, businesses are facing new challenges. For instance, the life-span of technology has shrunk rapidly from years to months. Fluctuation in global commodity prices and oil prices too creates uncertainties.”

Reposing faith in the Indian entrepreneurial spirit, Mr Nath concluded, “I am confident that Indian entrepreneurs will meet these challenges. Indian entrepreneurs are good at adopting and adapting.”

The three day TiE Entrepreneurship Summit is being held in New Delhi on Dec 11-13. The summit hosts a series of addresses, panel discussions, workshops and mentoring sessions on themes covering investment trends, entrepreneurship development and building better ecosystem for entrepreneurship to thrive in India.
