Placement at XLRI Jamshedpur was completed in a record time of less than 4 days in 2014 with probably the shortest ever recruitment season in the institute.
The placement 2014 reflected an upward swing in recruitment with more recruiters offering higher placement packages and probably fearing lest the students seeking placement opt out of placement process, companies competed among themselves in offer of more jobs.

XLRI has a consistent record of 100% placement. The placement season 2014 was no exception to the feat. Entire placement 2014 process at XLRI was completed in three and a half day.

 

There were 241 students seeking placement 2014 out of the batch of 245 students while 233 students were available for placement in 2013. All the 241 students seeking placement got suitable offers and the process was over in less than 4 days in the first week of February 2014.

Out of 103 recruiters, maximum number of 12 offers was made by ITC which emerged as the top recruiter at XLRI Jamshedpur. Coming next in the row was ICICI with 10 offers. Axis Bank occupied third position with 8 offers in placement 2014 at XLRI.
Apart from the above three top recruiters there were other companies that made number of offers in placement 2014 at XLRI. Major recruiters included Airtel, Standard Chartered, Aditya Birla, Mckinsey, Deutche Bank, CRISIL, BNP Paribas, Wipro, Asian Paints, Kraft, BCG, Dr. Reddy's, Tata Steel, J P Morgan

Auditorium:
The campus has two state-of-the-art auditoriums, both fully air-conditioned. The Small Auditorium has a seating capacity for about 150 people. This auditorium plays host to internal student events, guest lectures and seminars, and the famed XLRI Student General Body Meetings.

Sports:
Sports are taken seriously at XLRI. The fields/courts on campus include Badminton, Basket Ball, Cricket, Football, Tennis and Volley Ball. There is a multi gymnasium located in the building.

 

Hostels:
Hostel facilities at XLRI, provided for students of the residential programs, consist of the four hostel blocks with more than 400 rooms in total. Every hostel room has access points linking it to the campus-wide network and the various network resources and services.

 

Behavioural Lab:
Established in 1949, XLRI School of Business Management and Human Resources, attracts some of the best talent from all over the country. It has established a niche for itself as a premier institution in the country, apart from being the oldest B-School in the country, and so perhaps a natural pioneer of sorts. XLRI broke new ground with the concept of a Marketing Research Fair as early as 1979 with MAXI Fair, and has been imitated widely in Colleges across India. That legacy of innovation lives on.
