NMAT is the official entrance exam to enter SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies (School Of Business Management), one of the highly ranked B schools in India. NMIMS offers MBA at its four campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bangalore and Hyderabad, with a total intake of 800 students in various MBA programmes. Approximately 60 thousand aspirants are expected to appear in computer based NMAT 2015 to be held in two and a half month test window from October 7 to December 20, 2014. MBA Programmes at NMIMS and intake

 

NMIMS offers following MBA programmes for an intake of 800 candidates at the 4 campuses of NMIMS University.

 

The 2 years full time MBA programme at NMIMS has specializations in Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations & Decision Sciences with an intake of 500 students. Other MBA programmes include MBA Human Resource: Intake 60; MBA Pharmaceutical management: Intake 60; PGDBM at Hyderabad campus: Intake 60; PGDM at Beguluru campus: Intake 120

 

Candidates can apply for more than one Programme/Campus as per his/her eligibility by giving order of preference as under -

Registration for NMAT 2015 to close on Sep 24, 2014

 

Online Registration for NMAT 2015, gateway to MBA admission session 2015-17 at 4 campuses of  Narsee  Monjee Institute of Management Studies(NMIMS) opened on July 2, 2014 and will close on September 24, 2014. An NMAT 2015 aspirant can register by paying a fee of Rs.2000/- to Rs.2400/- as per the programme preference. Late registration till October 4, 2014 is also allowed by paying the requisite fee. Those who wish to appear in NMAT 2015 are advised to register prior to September 24, 2014 to avoid the penalty of late fee. Pearson VUE will carry out the online registration & will conduct NMAT 2015 on behalf of NMIMS University.

 

NMAT 2015: Registration process

 

NMAT 2015 aspirants can register  through an online registration application till Sep 24, 2014 . NMIMS shall not accept registrations from candidates in any other mode or form.

Aspirants who opt for early registration in NMAT 2015 will be able to schedule the test on his / her preferred date, time slot and Test Centre. Since candidates will be required to schedule their NMAT™ 2015 test after registering through an online application system, the earlier they register, the sooner they will receive their username and password and they will be able to schedule their test online. Candidates may not get their preferred date, slot and Test Centre if other candidates have already taken up the available seats for that particular date, slot and center. In such a situation, candidates would need to look at other options of date, time slot and Test Centre and schedule their test accordingly.
 

"First come First serve" “principle applies to both registration and scheduling. The earlier one registers and makes payment, the earlier will he/she receive the scheduling information. And the earlier one schedules the test, higher are the chances of getting preferred date, time and test location.

 

Editing the registration details

 

Candidates can edit certain fields like work experience and education background in their application form till they receive registration fee payment confirmation from NMIMS. Candidates should check the information entered in the online registration application form very carefully while registering and again before making payment as they will not be allowed to make any changes after payment.

 

NMAT 2015 has 75 days Test window with self scheduling option

 

NMAT 2015 has the longest test window of 75 days (Oct 7, 2014 to Dec 20, 2014). The aim is to provide candidates with a convenience to choose a test date, based on their comfort level.

 

Candidates have the choice to select the date and time of the test in a real time mode, based on seats availability at each of the centres.

 

NMAT 2015 started the scheduling process to take the test a few days after opening the registration. NMAT aspirants can schedule their test from July 17, 2014 to October 7, 2014 according to their convenience.

 

However if the test taker wants to reschedule the test, he/she can reschedule it. The process of rescheduling also began on July 17, 2014 and will continue till December 17, 2014.

 

Choice of attempts in NMAT 2015

 

If an NMAT 2015 aspirant is not satisfied with his performance and thinks that he/she can improve the scores by taking NMAT 2015 again, the test can be rescheduled for ‘Retake’ but with a minimum gap of 15 days. The scheduling to retake the test begins on  October 7, 2014 and will continue till December 19, 2014. 

 

Candidates have an option of appearing up to three maximum attempts, including “no shows” in NMAT 2015.

 

Unique question paper for every candidate: Test composition

 

Every candidate taking NMAT 2015 will get a unique but equivalent question paper in computer based NMAT 2015. NMAT 2015 will be an objective type multiple-choice test with 120 questions to be solved in 2 hours (120 minutes). It means the aspirant will have 1 minute per question to solve. No descriptive type of questions will be asked in NMAT 2015

There will be sectional as well as overall cut offs in NMAT 2015. The necessity is to perform well relative to other candidates in each of the three sections to get shortlisted for final admission round.  There will not be any negative marking in NMAT 2015

 

In case of candidates taking more than one attempt the best score which is the total score & its respective sectional score will be considered for short listing for subsequent process.

 

NMAT 2015 aspirants also have the choice of selecting the order of the sections in the test. Aspirants need to solve each section within the prescribed time limit to it since each section has an individual time limit. The number of questions and time limit of the test sections are fixed. The computer will display questions one at a time. Like CAT a candidate can move to next question once the present one on the screen is attempted in accordance with instructions.

 

NMAT 2015:Test Cities

 

There are 18 test centres in India where NMAT 2015 aspirants can take the test namely Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Bhillai, Bhopal, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna    

 

The candidate will be able to choose the test centre at the location of their choice while scheduling their NMAT 2015 test.

 

Availability of scores

 

The candidate scores will be declared in a span of 4-5 weeks from the test delivery. These shall be equated to bring about parity and fairness and will help candidates know their performance in time.
