Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) University of Delhi has announced its admission for MBA Program for the 2015-17 batch. According to Dr M L Singla, Dean, FMS Delhi “For the current years for admissions of 2015-16, we have decided to continue with CAT. Subsequently, we will be reviewing the situation and a decision would be taken in consultation with all stakeholders in this regard” FMS Delhi will therefore accept only the CAT 2014 test scores as the admission criteria for MBA batch 2015-17.
FMS Delhi has started the admission process on October 8, 2014 and the last date for the online registration for admission in FMS Delhi is November 10, 2014. CAT 2014 aspirants apart from registering and appearing in CAT 2014 have to apply to FMS Delhi to seek admission in session 2015-16.
How to apply for MBA at FMS Delhi
The on line Application process to register and apply for flagship 2 years full time MBA programme 2015-17 and other programmes at FMS Delhi started on October 8, 2014 and will close on November 10, 2014. Unlike admission process for MBA 2014-16 batch when application process started on November 11, 2013 and closed on December 31, 2013, FMS Delhi has started the admission application process one month earlier and the time period of application process has also been reduced from 51 days to 34 days.
All candidates seeking admission to FMS Delhi will be required to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs on 16th & 22nd November, 2014.
Eligible candidates appearing for CAT 2014 and planning to take admission to 2-year full-time MBA Program at FMS Delhi for the batch 2015-17 can apply online through FMS website. There is no off-line mode to register and apply for MBA 2015-17 batch in FMS Delhi.
Selection Procedure
FMS Delhi will shortlist the candidates after declaration of CAT 2014 results for the flagship MBA(Full time) course. FMS is probably the only top B school which does not take into account the academic profile, work experience at the time of shortlisting the candidates on the basis of CAT scores. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CAT percentile. Rest of the factors are taken into account at the time of final admission round.
Shortlisted candidates will then be called for a Group discussion and Personal interview round. The final selection at FMS Delhi will be based on Group Discussion and Personal interview, where academic record and work experience will also be given due weightage apart from CAT 2014 scores.
The cumulative performance of the candidate in the CAT Score as well as the group discussion and personal interview round will be the basis to convert the call to MBA (FT) at FMS Delhi. Applicants who have not taken CAT-2014 will not be considered for admission.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for admission to the Two Year Full-Time MBA must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline after 12 years of formal schooling with at least 50% marks (SC/ST: Passing marks; OBC/PWD/CW: 45%) or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor's Degree may also apply.
Payment
The cost of online application to FMS Delhi is Rs. 1000/- (Rs 350/- for SC/ST/PWD) and the online payment facility is available through the website of FMS.

The intake at FMS may be revised while finalizing the admission for MBA programmes. However the present intake is as follows

Fee Structure
FMS Delhi is a high ROI B school with a low fee structure and high placement packages.
The annual fee payable to Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi is approximately Rs. 10,000/- for MBA(FT) programme.
Total fee for 2 years MBA (Full time) programme at FMS including some other charges does not exceed Rs.25 thousand.
