Result for first CMAT 2015 for admission to 2015-17 MBA/PGDM batch is expected to be announced on October 30, 2014
CMAT serves as a good chance for the MBA aspirants who aspire to explore admission opportunities to MBA/PGDM programmes in good management institutes.

The long awaited Results for AICTE conducted first CMAT during the 5 day test window from Sep 25 to Sep 29, 2014, for admission to 2015-17 MBA/PGDM batch is expected to be announced on October 30, 2014. More than 50 thousand candidates appeared in this test which indicates its importance close on the heels of CAT and XAT. CMAT is held twice a year and for admission to session 2015-16, the AICTE-CMAT Sep 2014 is the first CMAT, second CMAT for admission session 2015-16 will be in Feb 2015.

Although second CMAT for admission to 2015-17 will be held sometime in February 2015 most of the top B schools accepting CMAT scores will close their application process by the time second CMAT 2015 results will be announced.

Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is conducted by AICTE to facilitate the management education aspirants to grab the opportunity of getting admission to a B school of their choice.  Management institutes affiliated to Universities in thirteen states of Chhatisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland,  Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and other private B schools approved by AICTE accept the CMAT scores.

Top ranked B schools accepting CMAT scores

Number of top rated B schools accepting the CMAT scores, have opened their admission application process and the candidates who wish to seek admission in these institutes should apply immediately after downloading their score card which will be available on CMAT site from October 30 to November 30, 2014. Almost all the B schools approved by AICTE accept CMAT scores. This feature further enhances the importance of CMAT result to be declared on October 30, 2014.

Delhi NCR B schools accepting CMAT scores

Following B schools in Delhi NCR where admission process is open will accept the CMAT Sep 2014 scores. Candidates should apply immediately after declaration of CMAT results. Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) Specialized PGDM Programs; Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida; IILM Institute of Business and Management, Gurgaon/Gr Noida; Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi; NDIM New Delhi; Apeejay New Delhi/Gr Noida/Gurgaon; Accurate institute of management, Gr Noida.

Mumbai, Pune & other Maharashtra B schools accepting CMAT

Top rated Management institutes in Maharashtra like JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, PUBMA, where admission to their flagship MMS programmes is only through the CAP (Centralised Admission Process) also accept CMAT scores alongwith the scores of other important exams including MAH CET/ CAT/ XAT/ATMA. Apart from this IMT Nagpur will also accept CMAT scores. Those who apply for admission to these B schools will have the opportunity to be considered for admission in these B schools on the basis of CMAT scores.

Mumbai B schools like JBIMS; SIMSREE; K J Somaiya Institute of Management and Research; Chetana's Institute of Management and Research (CIMR); IES Management College and Research Centre;  SIES College of Management Studies are a few of the highly ranked B schools that will accept the CMAT scores.

CMAT results do not disqualify any candidate

CMAT awards a maximum score of 400. There are 100 questions carrying 4 marks each. The results will rank all the candidates who appeared in the test based on their aptitude towards the management education in the order of their merit. Candidates will not be declared as eliminated from the admission process in the AICTE approved management programme. On the contrary the aim is to facilitate the institutions to select the suitable candidates as per the rank awarded by CMAT.

Declaration of CMAT Sep 2014 test result will enable 50 thousand candidates to decide their PGDM admission priorities even before the conduct of CAT and XAT exams. Test scores of CMAT first test for admission session 2015-16 will remain valid for the MBA/PGDM batch 2015-17 and will be accepted by all the AICTE approved institutes.
