Coffee With SIBM is an annual event organised by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune. The event is an initiative undertaken as a part of its endeavour to help MBA aspirants crack SNAP and enter the flagship institute of Symbiosis International University.

Over the years, Coffee with SIBM has gained popularity, and the response has been overwhelming with over 6,000 aspirants attending every year. In its ninth edition this year, the event will be organised in 22 cities across 24 venues, with two new cities added into the list this year –Guwahati and Dehradun.

The event provides an opportunity for aspirants to clear their queries and gain valuable information from students who have undergone the same process one year previously, and made it to SIBM Pune. The aim is to assist them in their preparation for SNAP by providing mock papers, GK and other helpful preparatory material.

Crack SNAP 2014: The focus area

Following will be the focus areas of the event to be held in the first fortnight of December 2014 across 24 cities in India. No prior registration is required for the event.

-To dispel any doubts or inhibitions regarding MBA, SNAP and SIBM Pune

-To conduct a mock exam during the seminar

-To provide a CD containing preparatory materials (mock papers, current affairs, past experiences of SNAP toppers etc.) to the attendees

The 24 cities

Following are the cities proposed to be covered in ‘Coffee With SIBM 2014’. The cities are mentioned below each date of December 2014.
 


Symboisis Institute of Business Management was established in 1978 and is one of the highly ranked Business Schools in India. In 2002, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India conferred the "Deemed to be University" status on Symbiosis, and further in 2006 the UGC vide its notification withdrew the word Deemed and renamed the University as Symbiosis International University  (SIU).

SIBM Pune has an intake of 180 students for its flagship MBA programme. Admissions are through Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) which is conducted for admission to 13 management colleges across India. The complete admission process is under one umbrella. On line Registration for SNAP 2014 closed on Nov 26, 2014 and the exam will be conducted on Sunday, December 21, 2014 across the country for admission to MBA batch 2015-17.

About SNAP

SNAP 2014 will be a paper pen mode Multiple Choice Questions based examination of two hours duration. Candidates are allowed with blue or black ball pen, preferably black as the OMR sheet in black ink can be better read by the system.  The test will comprise 4 sections and the expected total maximum marks would be 180 while maximum marks for each section would be as follows –

Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension – 40 marks

General Knowledge and Current Affairs-40 marks

Quantitative Ability and data interpretation-40 marks

Analytical and logical Ability – 60 marks

Although candidates are allowed to attempt any section in any order, sectional cut off will always be there. One has to score at least a minimum cut off score in each of the four sections.
