More marks with less questions can be scored in SNAP 2014, if you devote a day out of next 2 days to solve the problems on Logical Ability problems with concentration. There will be 30 questions on Analytical and Logical Ability in SNAP 2014 with 2 marks each as against 40 questions in each of other 3 sections with only 1 mark each.

The gateway to top 13 B schools of Symbiosis International University affiliated B schools SNAP 2014 will pave the way for MBA admission in 2015. Apart from other B schools the admission opportunity in Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune also exists if you score high in SNAP 2014. The exam is paper pen based that aims to assess the multidimensional capability of the candidates.

Higher score with less questions

60 out of 180 marks can be scored in SNAP 2014 if a candidate can well revise the problems on Analytical and Logical ability. SNAP is the only exam that awards more weightage to this section. While every other correct answer carries 1 mark each questions on Logical ability carry 2 marks each.

SNAP 2014 is divided in 4 sections with a total number 150 questions. The other 3 sections except Analytical and logical Ability comprise Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension – 40 questions of 1 mark each i.e. 40 marks; General Knowledge and Current Affairs-40 questions of 1 mark each i.e. 40 marks; Quantitative Ability and data interpretation-40 questions of 1 mark each i.e. 40 marks. The section of Analytical and logical Ability in SNAP 2014 will have 30 questions with 2 marks each i.e. 60 marks.

30 questions in 50 minutes: Good bet

The maximum score of 180 marks can be earned by solving the test paper in 120 minutes meaning less than 1 minute per question is available to solve paper pen based test. While maximum marks and maximum number of questions in each of the 3 sections are equal, Analytical Ability has 30 questions with a greater weightage of 2 marks each coming to total maximum score of 60 marks out of 180. If you can solve this section with a bit more concentration even taking one and a half minute, you can score high over all.

Please however remember although you are allowed to attempt any section in any order but the sectional cut off in SNAP 2014 may not be compromised. One has to score at least a minimum cut off score in each of the four sections

One day revision: key to success

Analytical and logical ability constitutes one third part of the total marks to be scored with only one fifth number of total test questions. If an aspirant can focus on this section, he/she may be assured of getting a good score in written test in SNAP 2014. One day revision and practice on following topics can bring good results in SNAP 2014. There is no doubt that the syllabus for this section is scattered and not defined yet one may organise the revision topics a bit systematically by placing more focus on them.

Problems on Analytical and logical Ability are based on natural human logics, so they can be understood and solved fairly easily, if proper attention is paid to this section. It serves as an aid to facilitate your entry to the top B-schools since it improves your percentile with a little logical understanding of the reasoning based questions.

Seating Arrangements; Matching puzzles; Constraint based arrangements; Blood Relations – family tree; Syllogism; Proposition based followed by either deductive or inductive argument; Assumptions; Statements; Sets; Binary logic; Venn Diagrams; Clocks and Calendars; team formation; Analogy are the major topics that you can revise and practice in 3-4 hours well.

Please remember unlike the questions in Verbal Ability, Quantitative and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning needs less efforts and the questions in this section can be solved by following logic and natural instincts. The only need is to practice more and more questions of similar type.

Since SNAP 2014 will be a paper pen and Multiple Choice Questions based examination of two hours duration and candidates are allowed with blue or black ball pen, preferably black as the OMR sheet in black ink can be better read by the system, candidates should practice well and understand to synchronize between the seriatim chronological order of questions and OMR answer sheet so that the answers are correctly marked.
