CAT Centre 2014 is updating the website for publishing the result in a few hours from now and as such the CAT 2014 ‘existing user login’ has been closed today and no longer has your application form and admit card available on the site. The message on CAT 2014 instead reads “The Login to form will be available only between 01-10-2014 00 Hours 00 Minutes to 27-12-2014 10 Hours 02 Minutes”
The site is getting ready for the publication of CAT 2014 result due to which all other earlier forms available on the CAT 2014 website have been removed. In case a candidate tries to login now in the existing user area with the CAT 2014 registered user Id and password, above one line message will be visible on the site.
Result today: Get ready to check
All the preparation for publishing the CAT 2014 result is over and the final job of site updation also will be over in a shortwhile from now. This will pave way to post the CAT 2014 result on the site. It is very much possible that CAT 2014 result could be displayed even before 7 PM today on Dec 27, 2014.
4 hours of Anxiety
In next 4 hours, in all probability CAT 2014 result will be published. In fact despite almost the same number of CAT 2014 takers as were there in CAT 2013, the anxiety is more to check the result immediately after its publication. There are few key reasons for this anxiety and prominent among them are- Different pattern and more questions in CAT 2014 exam; different score normalization process; Early declaration of CAT 2014 result in comparison to earlier CAT exams whose results were declared in the month of January.

More IIMs: More intake
CAT is the mandatory exam that forms the base for admission in IIMs which form the cluster of best B schools in the country. Apart from IIMs, top rated B schools like SPJIMR, FMS, MDI, NITIE, IMI, IMT, BIMTECH and many more will also short list the candidates for admission on the basis of CAT 2014 scores.
With the announcement by Govt of India to open 6 new IIMs in different states from Admission session 2015, total number of IIMs has gone up to 19 from 13. Besides, the intake in existing 13 IIMs is also expected to be more than earlier years. All these factors will add to intake in admission session 2015-16. It is expected that about 4000 candidates will be selected for admission in IIMs.
Approximately 8-10 times of intake, candidates are shortlisted by these top B schools for admission. CAT 2014 therefore sure provides a better bet than any other MBA/PGDM entrance examination for admission 2015. No doubt that the test takers are eagerly waiting for the CAT 2014 result to know the fate of future as the result is going to be announced in a few hours from now.
How to access CAT 2014 score card
CAT Centre 2014 categorically states “Instructions on how to access your result will be published shortly”. So either just before the declaration of AT 2014 result or along with the declaration of CAT 2014 result, CAT Centre 2014 will be going to publish the necessary instructions on the steps and process on how the aspirants can check their result today.
A bit of delay it appears is due to the fact that CAT 2014 site has been put under updation and is getting ready for publication of CAT 2014 result in a few hours from now.
Nonetheless candidate will be able to access the CAT 2014 result only with the CAT 2014 registered user Id and Password. CAT doesn’t prefer publishing the lists of the candidates in order of percentile scored in the exam on its site. A candidate has to login individually to know his result and score card which he/she can view as well as download from the CAT 2014 site today onwards.
Validity of CAT 2014 scores
CAT 2014 score card will be made available from today onwards and will remain valid till December 31, 2015. Scores of CAT 2014 candidates will also be made available till December 31, 2015. No query regarding the issuance of CAT 2014 score card will be entertained by CAT Centre 2014 after Dec 31, 2015.
