BIMTECH holds workshop on Internalization of Indian B-schools

Greater Noida based Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) organized a workshop on faculty development for the Internationalization of B-Schools on December 21, 2007.

The workshop was conducted at BIMTECH campus by Dr. Omprakash K Gupta, College of Business at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, USA and the founder of AIMS International.

Dr. Omprakash Gupta, while speaking at the workshop said, "This step taken by BIMTECH will prove to be a milestone in the development of B-Schools. Internationalization is already on the agenda of the B-schools, but this focused effort will begin a new era all over the country."

Dr. Gupta has earlier taught at Purdue University, Ball State University, Washington State University and he is the former faculty of IIM Ahmedabad. Dr. Gupta has published over 50 research papers in referred journals such as Management Science, European J. of Operations Research, J. of OR Society, Int. J. of Operations and Production Management, Asia Pacific Management Review, J. of Business Ethics, etc. He is the founder editor of Int. J. of Operations and Quantitative Management and AIMS International Journal of Management.

At the event Dr. H Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH said, "It is our ongoing endeavor at BIMTECH to be the foremost in taking such initiatives. I am confident that if we sustain such endeavors, we can shape the future of the Indian Business Education System and make it more relevant in the international arena."
