Leaving behind IIM Bangalore among the top 4 IIMs, IIM Lucknow has taken the lead and has declared the shortlist of candidates for the GD-PI-WAT 2015, on January 9, 2015 for the flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP-PGDM) 2015-17. In contrast to final admission round at IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta who do not conduct Group Discussion in their PI round, final admission round at IIM Lucknow consists of all the 3 components of Group Discussion(GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
IIM Lucknow didn’t commit any date to declare the shortlist of candidates but has left behind IIM Bangalore who has not yet declared the shortlist nor has shared any date to declare the shortlist. It was expected that IIM Lucknow would declare the shortlist in the middle of January 2015. However the shortlist has arrived well in time and even before the expected date.
Candidates who have scored high sectional as well as overall percentile in CAT 2014 and have consistent excellent academic profile have been shortlisted by IIM Lucknow for next phase of admission round.
How to know whether shortlisted
In order to know whether you have been shortlisted by IIM Lucknow for next phase of admission round you are required to click on the IIM Lucknow home page. On the right hand top corner there is search link. If you writer ‘Shortlist’ and click on search a window with various links displaying shortlist information for PGPM programme appears. By clicking on the relevant link you will find a window asking for your CAT 2014 registration number and email id. Here you are supposed to enter your CAT 2014 registration number and your CAT 2014 registered mail id to know the status of shortlisting.
If shortlisted you will get the message that your name appears in the list of shortlisted candidates. If not shortlisted the message will be ‘Sorry You are not in shortlisted list’.
Next phase to contain GD-PI-WAT
While most of the IIMs have done away with Group Discussion round in the final stage of admission process, IIM Lucknow has kept Group Discussion (GD) as an integral part of final admission round for 2015.

Please note that the minimum requirement for getting a pass in Personal Interviews is 9 out of 30 marks.
Final Merit List
Generation of final admission offer list to PGP/PGP-ABM/PGPSM programme will be arrived on the basis of total scores i.e. the short list total and GDPI total. The Grand Total will be used to rank the candidates according to their merit.
IIM Lucknow shortlisting criteria 2015
IIM Lucknow has shortlisted the candidates primarily on parameters of high sectional and over all CAT 2014 scores as well as excellent academic profile, gender diverisity and work experience. The first primary parameter is the High sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2014. A general category candidate with percentile of 95 to 100 in each section and approximately 99+ overall has been shortlisted for GDPI round.
High CAT 2014 scores are not the only criteria of shortlisting the candidates at IIM Lucknow. A candidate with excellent Academic Profile with more than 90% marks in class X and XII has been preferred in the shortlisting at IIM Lucknow.
Admission policy 2015 declared by IIM lucknow called for minimum threshold percentile of 90 below which candidate would not be shortlisted. But the actual cut off percentile has gone 98+, much higher than anticipated for General Category candidates .
CAT 2014 result was declared around 5PM on Dec 27, 2014. The result has set precedent with more number of 100 and 99 percentilers in CAT 2014 as compared to earlier CAT exams.
Number of candidates shortlisted at IIM Lucknow
IIM Lucknow shortlists the number of candidates 3-4 times of its batch strength. At present the batch is around 434. Around 1600 candidates have been shortlisted by IIM Lucknow for next phase of admission round 2015.

IIM Lucknow offers following management programmes Post graduate Programme (PGP); Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness management (PGPABM); Post Graduate Programme in Sustainable Management (PGPSM).
Apart from the above IIM Lucknow offers Executive management programmes at its Lucknow and Noida campuses.
