MBA Admission process 2015: Are you still confused? Don`t waste time; Top MBA Colleges still open

With CAT 2014 score card in hand and XAT 2015 score card expected to be out on January 25, 2015, are you still confused which B school to opt for and whether to apply in any other B school for MBA/PGDM admission 2015? In fact you have more than only a few options to explore admission opportunity in number of highly ranked B schools in the country where admission process is open.

Shed the confusion
Getting rid of the confusion prevailing in your mind in fact, is the emergent need of the hour as the absence of clarity to apply in the most relevant B school in accordance with your scores may lead you nowhere.

If you wish to prepare for yet another year, the matter is different but if you wish to take admission in the session 2015-16 and want to pursue your MA/PGDM from a good B school, any further delay will become the cause of distraction and thereby causing loss of the opportunity in getting admission to the desired programme at the best available B school in the country.

B schools: Better than many IIMs
IIMs are the first choice of CAT takers and CAT 2014 is no exception to this fact.  Despite this fact another fact is that apart from highly ranked and top rated IIMs there are number of B schools that are preferred by the candidate to many IIMs when they search admission opportunities in the relevant B schools.

While CAT 2014 result has more 100 and 99 percentilers it has number of uneven sectional scorers also. IIMs need high but balanced sectional percentile to shortlist the candidates for final admission round. There are number of high overall percentilers in CAT 2014 than high sectional percentilers, and hence candidates despite scoring percentile as high as 98 or 99 need to search admission opportunity in good B schools rather than IIMs where sectional percentile wouldn’t become a hurdle.

No more confusion: Decide now
The candidates who have scored less than prescribed sectional cut off percentile have not been shortlisted by any IIM although their overall percentile is high enough to put them among the shortlisted candidates.

You need to come out of the persisting confusion now as most of the good B schools are going to close their admission application process shortly. Although you can expect to get your XAT 2015 scores by Jan 25, 2015, a few of these highly ranked B schools will close their application process by then. So it will be good enough to apply now and send your XAT 2015 scores to the respective B school when you receive them.

These B schools consider overall percentile to shortlist the candidates for final admission round. The need is to apply to these B schools in time before they close their admission application process in a few days.

Many B schools already closed the admission process
Too much thinking and waiting sometimes become detrimental to your efforts. There are many B schools who have already closed their admission process. FMS, Delhi one of the highly ranked and top rated B schools shortlist the candidates on the basis of CAT overall percentile. The application process however stands closed in FMS and shortlist of candidates is to be published soon. Apart from FMS a few top B schools like IMI New Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, SPJIMR Mumbai have also closed their admission application 2015 process.

There are still very good B schools whose admission application process is still open and if you can act swiftly, you may apply to them for your PGDM/MBA admission 2015. MICA: Last date to apply Jan 18, 2015
MICA is the changed name of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. The B school is now known as MICA instead of its earlier longer name. MICA's flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C) is AICTE approved and is a 2 years full time programme equivalent to an MBA. It is endorsed by 100 per cent campus placements with the best corporate houses in India and abroad. Apart from AICTE this programme is approved by the Association of Indian University (AIU), which equates it with an MBA degree.

Apart from CAT 2014 scores, candidates can apply to MICA with their scores of  XAT2014 / XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/Sept/Dec)/ CMAT2014 (Feb/Sept)/ATMA2014 Feb/May/July)/GMAT (2011 onwards).

Irrespective of their score, the candidates will be called for MICAT, to be held on Feb 15, 2015 across the 14 test cities in the country subject to their application form being complete and accepted by MICA. MICAT Application Fee is Rs. 1875. Candidates can apply online
 

TAPMI: Last date to apply Jan 27, 2015
TAPMI Manipal is one of the highly ranked B schools in the country and has accreditation from AACSB the international accreditation agency. It follows profile based shortlisting of candidates for all its three programs namely PGDM, PGDM-BKFS and PGDM-HCM. While there is no special treatment for gender diversity, aspects like Academics, Work-Experience, will have due weightages in final selection, besides performance at WAT and Personal Interviews

Apart from CAT 2014 scores TAPMI will also accept XAT 2015 and GMAT scores. It is better to apply to TAPMI if you have scored 80+ percentile in CAT 2014. The expected cut off for XAT 2015 would also be 80+ for admission in TAPMI. The TAPMI admission application process is online. 
 

FORE, New Delhi: Last Date to apply Jan 12, 2015
FORE School of Management is one of the most sought after B schools in and around Delhi –NCR. It is among one of the top rated Private B schools that accept CAT scores. The B school admits students with a proven calibre to perform. FORE will accept CAT 2014 scores to shortlist the candidates for final admission round. Candidates seeking admission opportunity in FORE can search their site if the online application can still be accepted by them.

DMS IIT Delhi: Last Date to apply Jan 18, 2015
Department of Management Studies (DMS) IIT Delhi was established and is a part of IIT Delhi campus. The B school aims to provide high quality and value based management education to nurture business leaders with global outlook.

DMS IIT Delhi will accept CAT 2014 scores as its shortlisting criteria for final admission round. The admission application process is online and will be over with the last date for receipt of Print copy of application form along with Demand Draft being on January 18, 2015.

CIMP, Patna: Last date to apply Jan 31, 2015

Chandragupta Institute of Management, Patna (CIMP) is one of the most sought after B schools in and around Patna. With active support from the Government of Bihar, CIMP was established in 2008 as an autonomous institution. The Government of Bihar has allotted 10 acres of land to CIMP for building a state-of-the-art academic cum residential campus in Mithapur, which is 4 kms away from Patna airport and 1.5 kms away from Patna railway station

CIMP uses CAT scores for short-listing the candidates for Post Graduate Programme in Management. If you are planning to take admission to 2-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at CIMP for the batch 2015-17, you can apply online or submit filled-in and duly signed application forms to the Admission’s Office of CIMP latest by January 31, 2015.

      
BIMTECH, Greater Noida: Last date to apply Jan 30, 2015

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, and supported by Birla group of companies. BIMTECH Greater Noida is a highly ranked B school. Admission process for PGDM 2015-17 batch at BIMTECH is open. Candidates can apply online to BIMTECH. The B school will accept CAT 2014 scores for admission 2015 to its flagship PGDM programme. 

BIMTECH Bhubaneshwar campus accepts scores of XAT/CMAT/MAT apart from CAT. The application process to the said campus is also open.

Great Lakes, Chennai: Last date to apply Feb 10, 2015

Great Lakes institute of Management, Chennai is open with its online and offline admission process for session 2015-16 for 2 year full time PGDM and 1 year PGPM Programmes in 2 cycles.

Issue of Application forms for admission to 2 years full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) 2015-17 at Great Lakes Institute of Management will be covered in two cycles 

Closing date for First cycle: February 10, 2015
Closing date for second cycle: March 15, 2015

LIBA, Chennai: Last date to apply Jan 26, 2015

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) Chennai admission application process will close on January 26, 2015 for PGDM batch 2015-17.

LIBA offers specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Systems International Business and General Management.

XISS Ranchi: Last date to apply Feb 1, 2015

XISS is one of the oldest B-Schools that started preparing HR and IR professionals to address the problems pertaining to the people dimension of the industry.

The application process at XISS is online and is open till February 1, 2015. Candidates desirous to apply in XISS to pursue PGDM 2015-17 should apply before the last date.

DMS-IIT Roorkee: Last date to apply Jan 18, 2015

University of Roorkee established the Department of Management Studies in 1998 to impart high quality formal education in management science through a comprehensive 2 year regular MBA programme.
