In the 60 years history of Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) gate way to XLRI and other top rated B schools, this is the first time that XAT 2015 conducting XLRI has released the official XAT 2015 answer keys. The answers for all the questions across all the 4 sets of test papers have been released and were published on XAT 2015 website on January 13, 2015.
There were 4 question paper sets titled A, B, C, D in XAT 2015. XLRI has released a separate document which contains only answer keys in respect to each set of questions as well as all the 4 sets of question papers containing well explained answer after each question.
Commendable Transparency
It is the commendable transparency in the XAT 2015 process that will enable the candidates to assess themselves where they stand. Since XAT 2015 is the paper pen based test and the candidates were allowed to take the question booklet with them, they can very well assess their position and can judge the scores they would be going to get based on the accuracy of the answered questions.
The explanations are supposed to help the aspirants in ascertaining their chances to be shortlisted by top rated B schools and also provide them guidance for the future.
Answer keys: only for percentile calculating sections
Since GK and essay writing sections are not accounted for calculation of percentile in XAT, the answer keys for XAT 2015 made available are only for the 3 sections comprising 84 questions in all on Verbal-LR, Quant-DI and Decision Making. In fact these are the sections in XAT that are responsible for calculation of percentile on the basis of which candidates are shortlisted for final admission round. If a candidate finds that he has performed well, he should be ready to get shortlisted by the relevant B school.
Official XAT 2015 result on Jan 25
XAT 2015 result is going to be declared on January 25, 2015 as assured by XAT 2015 convener Prof Munish Thakur. Earlier the XAT 2015 result declaration date was announced as January 31, 2015.
120 B schools to accept XAT 2015 scores
Apart from the top rated B schools like XLRI, XIMB, SPJIMR, IMT, XISS, TAPMI, LIBA more than 100 B schools will offer admission on the basis of XAT 2015 scores.
XAT 2015 result: Good Admission opportunity
It will be a good opportunity for the XAT 2015 takers to get the XAT 2015 score cards on time since application process in number of B schools accepting XAT scores will be open by the time XAT 2015 result is out. The candidates who could not do so well in CAT 2014 may get high score in XAT 2015 and can explore admission opportunity in even better B schools.
