One of the highly ranked and renowned B schools in Delhi NCR-Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad will be closing the admission application process on Jan 31, 2015 just a day away from now. CAT 2014/XAT 2015 takers with 90+ percentile who have not been able to apply to IMT Ghaziabad can utilise the opportunity in next one day and submit online application till Jan 31, 2015.

 

IMT Ghaziabad is the flagship B school among the 4 national and international campuses situated at Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai. The application process for all the 4 campuses is online and will be open for them till Jan 31, 2015 the last date of admission application. IMT is one of the top rated B schools with 3 national and one foreign campus offering PGDM courses.

 

How to apply

 

The applicant must complete the online ‘Application Form’ available at IMT site. There is one common Application Form for all four campuses - Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai.

 

On the Application Form the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details and at least one of the following: registration number for CAT 2014 or ID for XAT 2015 or ID for GMAT or roll-no.for CMAT. Please note that IMT Ghaziabad will be accepting only CAT/XAT/GMAT scores while IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT scores.

The applicant is required to fill the IDs of the entire test score he/she wishes to submit.

 

Next step: Make payment

 

After completing the form, the applicant can make payment by one of three options: 

 

1) Pay directly through credit/debit card or Net Banking: If the payment goes through and ‘Application Number’ is generated, the application is considered submitted. Applicants will receive a confirmation email within the next 24 hours.

2) Pay through demand draft: The applicant must make a demand draft payable to “Institute of Management Technology” payable at Ghaziabad or Delhi for the amount of Rs 1,750. On the ‘Application Form’, applicants must provide the demand draft number, name of bank, date, location of bank and amount. After providing these details, the applicant will be directed to a new window that has the details of the information submitted and the ‘tear-off’ sheet together with an ‘Application Form Number’.

 

Take care to Print the form
Applicants should take a printout of this form and keep it for their future reference. Applicants must affix their passport-size self-attested photo to the tear-off sheet and send the demand draft along with it. Once the demand draft and tear-off sheet are received by IMT Ghaziabad, the status is automatically updated on the website. Applicants will also receive a confirmation email within the next 24 hours.

Applicants are advised to have their demand draft details ready before filling the form.

 

More than one Exam scores accepted
Applicants may submit any one of test scores: CAT 2014, XAT 2015, GMAT (Test taken between 1st January 2011 – 31st December 2014) or CMAT* (Nagpur & Hyderabad only) score. Applicants can also submit more than one test score. Candidates are required to update their GMAT/ CMAT* Test score, on or before January 10, 2015. IMT will consider the best score before making the final admit offer.

 

Best score considered for short listing
Applicants will be short-listed for interviews on the basis of one of the best scores out of available test scores: CAT, XAT, GMAT or CMAT for Nagpur & Hyderabad campus. 

 

Final admission round to begin on Feb 1
IMT Ghaziabad is to begin the PI process after shortlisting the candidates from February 1, 2015 just a day after the admission application process at Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad closes on January 31, 2015.

 

Components of PI round
IMT Ghaziabad has eliminated Group Discussion (GD) from the final admission round and has substituted it with CnPI process as a major component. The new CnPI process stands for  Communication and Personal Interview (CnPI).

 

the process will be divided in 2 parts. Cn meaning communication and in this section, candidates will be exposed to a tool called “Thematic Exposition”. This will be done on a topic ranging from social, economic and current affairs.

 

This will be a written communication test (WCT), where candidates would be given a topic ranging from 1-3 lines, on which they will be expected to develop a piece of 250 words within 20 minutes. Topic would be provided to the candidates on the day of CnPI at the venue/center itself.  It will help the interviewer to understand the Language Proficiency, Coherence, Thought Process, Critical and Logical thinking skills of the candidates. 

 

Intake in 2015-17 batch at IMT
480 candidates will get admission to PGDM 2015-17 at IMT Ghaziabad.

 

Fee structure
Total PGDM 2015-17 course fee at IMT Ghaziabad is supposed to remain at Rs.15 lakhs.

 

Expected cut off
IMT Ghaziabad will accept CAT 2014, XAT 2015 and GMAT scores. The expected cut off
Percentile for CAT/XAT exams is 90+ and for GMAT the expected score is 650.

 

Placement at IMT Ghaziabad
IMT Ghaziabad is a highly ranked B school with excellent placement record. IMT Ghaziabad has partnered with Arizona State University’s (ASU) WP Carey School Business, for dual degree programme in which students have the ability to earn degrees from both institutions. There is a 2+1 model wherein students spend 2 years in IMTG followed by 1 year in ASU. In the 1+1 model, selected students spend 1 year in IMTG followed by 1 year in ASU.

 

Placement 2014 witnessed a rise of 35% in number of recruiters over placement season 2013. While there were 95 companies visiting IMT Ghaziabad for placement in 2013, the number rose to 130 with more job offers.
 
The placement season 2014 at IMT saw a rise of Rs. 6 lakhs in the highest domestic salary from Rs. 17.25 lakhs in placement 2013 to Rs. 23 lakhs in 2014.  Median salary in placement 2014 was Rs. 8.7 lakhs while the average salary stood at Rs. 8.96 lakhs.
