Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), the leading B school in Chennai, will begin its GD-PI 2015 process in the 2nd week of March 2015 after closing its admission process on February 7, 2015. The major components of GD-PI round at LIBA according to Prof S Rajeshwar, Admission Chairperson, LIBA are “Written Ability test, Group discussion based on a case study, followed by Personal Interview”.

Since LIBA will close the application process for the flagship PGDM and other management programmes for the admission session 2015-16 on Feb 7, 2015, candidates should apply to this good B school before the last date to avoid last minute rush.

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) Chennai admission application process will close on February 7, 2015 for PGDM batch 2015-17.

LIBA offers specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Systems International Business and General Management.

Offering dual specialization in PGDM is one of the USPs at LIBA. Total intake at LIBA in its flagship 2 years full time PGDM batch 2015-17 is 120 students.  LIBA will accept CAT 2014 scores apart from XAT 2015 scores. Application process is online.
 
How to apply

Aspirants desirous of seeking admission at LIBA should apply to LIBA by registering online at www.liba.edu by giving their CAT/XAT-ID and details of DD/IMS/ Net Banking receipt.

Candidates should fill up the LIBA application form by clicking on LIBA registration link to create and receive by email a unique LIBA-ID and password. Candidates should login with this LIBA-ID and password to complete the application form and upload the photo and signature (Not exceeding 50 KB).

Payment
Candidates need to take a print-out of the Payment Advice form. However there are 4 modes of making payment of requisite application fee for LIBA

Option A: Get a demand draft (DD) for Rs. 1250/- favouring “LIBA” payable at Chennai.

Option B: Pay Rs. 1250/- at any of the specified IMS Centres and obtain the IMS receipt and the Bulletin.

Option C: Pay cash Rs. 1250/- at the LIBA admissions office after registering online.

Option D: Pay Online through Credit Card.

Please mention your name and CAT/XAT ID on the reverse of the Demand Draft and send your Demand Draft / Photocopy of IMS / Net Banking receipt along with the Payment Advice Form to The Admissions Office, LIBA, Loyola College, Nungambakkam, Chennai-600 034.

Exam Scores accepted for admission at LIBA

Applicants are required to submit scores of at least one of the 2 following Admission Tests:

CAT 2014: Conducted by IIMs on 16 & 22 November 2014 and Result declared on Dec 27, 2014

XAT 2015: Conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 4 January, 2015 and result declared on Jan 23, 2015

In case of both the exam scores, the better of the two scores will be considered by LIBA.

Selection Process at LIBA

Candidate will be shortlisted for GD & PI based on their performance in CAT 2014/ XAT 2015. LIBA will decide the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Due weightage will be awarded to academic profile and work experience during the GD process.

According to Prof S Rajeshwar, Admission Chairperson, LIBA “The last year's cutoff  was CAT- 80 percentile and XAT- 75 Percentile, this year the expected cut-off would be around 85 for CAT 2014 and 80 for XAT 2015”.
