PGDM 2015-17: Submission of Application forms

 

Issue of Application forms for admission to 2 years full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) 2015-17 at Great Lakes Institute of Management will be covered in two cycles 

 

Closing date for First cycle: February 10, 2015
Closing date for second cycle: March 15, 2015

 

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply to Great Lakes Institute of Management by completing the online application process. The Application fee is Rs. 1500/-. Alternatively candidates can also Purchase the application form from Great Lakes Offices in Chennai and New Delhi or from select vendor centres. However, the eventual application process is online for all candidates.

 

Acceptable exam scores

 

All applicants who appeared for GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT can apply to Great Lakes Institute of Management. For PGDM 2015-17, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept CAT Scores of the year 2013 and 2014, XAT scores of the year 2014 and 2015, MAT scores of the year 2014 and 2015, CMAT scores of 2014 or GMAT scores taken after Jan 1, 2013.
 

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - ADMISSIONS PGDM 2015-17 batch

 

Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution with Minimum 50% marks.

 

Freshers and candidates with less than 24 months of work-experience by 31st march 2015 are only eligible to apply. Candidates with greater than 24 months of work-experience can apply to Great Lakes PGPM program.

 

Applicants are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, work experience, essays and performance in the interview and group discussions.

 

Standardized Test Scores

 

With a view to eliminate inconsistencies between colleges and universities at the Undergraduate level, Great Lakes considers GMAT or CAT or XAT or MAT or CMAT scores in the overall assessment.
 

Special Preference

 

There will be a special preference for College/University rank holders in terms of an extra weightage gained as part of the selection process.

PGDM 2015-17: Fee structure

Total fee for 2 years PGDM 2015-17, including accommodation, according to Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is Rs. 14.75 lakhs

 

The fees includes expenses towards foreign immersion which is compulsory for all students.

 

Certain non-academic aspects like catering, skill development, admission processing are outsourced at the discretion of the Institution and the related charges are paid to the respective service providers on behalf of students with the Institute facilitating and coordinating these services.

 

Programme dates

 

PGDM at Great lakes is an AICTE approved programme. Students are compulsorily required to have their own laptop as per institute specifications.

 

Tentative date for Registration and beginning of orientation as announced by the B school: First week of July 2015. Term 1 is expected to begin after orientation in the second week of July 2015

 

PGPM 2015-16 at Great lakes: Flagship 1 year programme

 

The prestigious AMBA (Association of MBAs), UK accreditation has been awarded to Great Lakes for its flagship one year fast track MBM program - PGPM and its MBA program – PGXPM
 
PGPM is the Great Lakes' full-time one-year fast-track residential Post Graduate Program in Management for candidates with at least 24 months of work experience. Following Specializations are offered in PGPM Finance, Marketing, IT and Economics, operations, OB and Strategy, Business Analytics.

 

The one year programme format is designed in consonance with the current trends in Europe and other parts of the world. According to Great lakes Institute “One-year programs are more rigorous than two year programs. In terms of the number of classroom hours, there won't be a significant difference between a two year course and a one year course.” Generally, there are no holidays between terms. Working executives would rather be away from work just for a year instead of 2 years. Also the one-year program enables students to start working a year earlier.

 

Eligibility for PGPM

 

Apart from all the above eligibility criteria, candidates are required to have a minimum work experience of two years by March 31, 2015. Candidates found not fulfilling this criteria will not be admitted.  Rest of the process of admission to PGPM 2015-16 is similar to PGDM

 

Fee structure for PGPM

 

Total fee for 1 year PGPM 2015-16, including accommodation, according to Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is Rs. 16.70 lakhs

 

Registration and beginning of orientation: Third week of April 2015.
