To bring greater awareness on Accreditation standards, AACSB is organizing 2 seminars from Feb 24 to 27, 2015 in New Delhi
AACSB International announced its new accreditation standards that focus on Innovation, Engagement, and Impact in management education in 2013

To bring greater awareness on its new Accreditation standards and to facilitate improvement in learning process in the B schools, AACSB International will be organizing two consecutive seminars in New Delhi on ‘Business Accreditation’ and ‘Assurance of Learning’ on February  24-25 and February 26-27 respectively. 

Business Accreditation Seminar

AACSB will be organizing the first seminar for two days on ‘Business Accreditation’ on Feb 24-25, 2015. In this interactive seminar, participants will get a step-by-step look at the accreditation process according to the most recent AACSB Accreditation Standards adopted in April 2013. Sessions include a thorough look at each standard, and an inside view at what the peer review teams look for during their visit.

Seminar on Assurance of Learning (AOL): Feb 26-27

The seminar on concept of Assurance of Learning (AoL) is useful for B schools who are currently creating or implementing a new AoL system.

 The Assurance of Learning (AoL) Seminar exposes the participant to a broad view of the AACSB Accreditation standards and presents best practices so that the B school can implement an effective AoL system.

Facilitators for AACSB Seminars

The seminars will be facilitated by Dr Eileen Peacock, senior vice president and chief officer Asia Pacific of AACSB International; Dr Jacob M. Chacko, Dean of the College of Business Administration at Abu Dhabi University and Dr Arun Pereira, Executive Director, Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Case Development at ISB Hyderabad.

Need for adopting International Accreditation in India

Globally, 716 business schools in 48 countries and territories have earned AACSB Accreditation. China has more than twenty AACSB accredited B-schools.

While India has 3500+ MBA programs, only three Indian B schools have earned AACSB Accreditation. However of late India is catching up with 43 AACSB members in India, second only to China.

AACSB International announced its new accreditation standards that focus on Innovation, Engagement, and Impact in management education in 2013. To cater to the needs and to guide on its accreditation standards in Asia, AACSB also set up a dedicated office in Singapore a few years back. AACSB Singapore office has substantially increased the capacity to advance quality management education in Asia. AACSB Membership and Accreditation in the region have grown 118% and 147%, respectively.
