Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad making a full throttle effort to harness the power of Global Collaboration towards a sustainable future organized a networking and collaboration event for its strategic International partners at the mega event - Global Partners’ Conclave 2015-16 at IMT Ghaziabad, India held from Feb 1 to 3, 2015.

 

IMT group of institutions with MBAUniverse.com as the Knowledge partner organized the 3 day Global Partners’ Conclave, the first of its kind conclave in India. The Conclave was a collaborative effort of the IMT Group of Institutions – IMT Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Dubai and was attended by the Deans and Directors of prestigious International universities, dignitaries and noted academicians from top b-schools of India as well as noted Industry experts.

 

IMT, a frontrunner in initiating new opportunities for global knowledge dissemination endeavoured to make The Global Partners’ Conclave a first of its kind event to be held in India which focused on the power of global collaboration in international education. This conclave was a great initiative to help foster cooperation and strengthen relationships among the partner institutes.  According to IMT ‘Today, education is going places and an initiative like this was a great way of creating a global knowledge repository and to discover new methods of teaching and learning.’

 

The Global Partners’ Conclave was organised by the International Relations Centre of IMT headed by Dr. Jayanthi Ranjan, Associate Dean, International Relations, Group IMT and under the constant guidance of Dr. Bibek Banerjee, Director, IMT Ghaziabad. According to IMT ‘this conclave was the first step in creating a platform to understand the impact of global education in the world and to sit together and discuss on how this global knowledge can go on to create a revolution towards enriching lives.’

 

The event was attended by around 30 foreign delegates. Some of the prominent universities which attended the Conclave were– Copenhagen Business School, Denmark; Burgundy School of Business, France; University of San Diego, USA; KOC University, Turkey; FHS St. Gallen, Switzerland; University of New Castle, Australia; IIM Shillong and Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai among others.

 

The Conclave was inaugurated by Shri Siva Nagarajan, Managing Director, Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables Pvt. Ltd. and key note speeches were given by Directors of the IMT Group of institutions. Day 1 comprised of networking sessions for the participants along with a panel discussion on Economic Stability in Times of Turmoil. The Conclave also had an awards ceremony where the best of IMT’s International partners were awarded.

 

The second day of the conclave involved two more panel discussions on topics related to Global Education and Collaboration. Day 2 also saw IMT signing MOU’s with top universities such as IBA Karachi, FHS St.Gallen Switzerland, Portsmouth University England, Kasetsart University Thailand, Shanxi University China, Steinbeis University, Germany, and Normandie Business School France. 

 

The International Relations Committee at IMT Ghaziabad with all these as the key takeaways from the event aims to make this conclave a year on year affair so as to ensure a steady stream of mutually enriching global collaborative opportunities between IMT and its partner institutes.

 

The Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad is rated among the top 10 B-schools in India. It is widely recognized as a centre of excellence in Management Education, having molded itself according to the fast changing business and social environment over the last 30 years. 

 

The International Relations Centre (IRC) at IMT undertakes a plethora of activities that help the students of IMT gain a worldview perspective on global education so that they are groomed to become great future leaders. Through the student exchange programmes and the short term exchange programs; faculty exchange programs, IRC also brings some of the best academic minds from its international partner institutes to IMT’s campus and sends some of the faculty abroad to acquire a global insight into their areas of interest.
