IIM Lucknow Placement 2015: Largest ever batch gets 100% placement; MBA market Upbeat

The largest ever batch comprising 453 students received 463 offers in the recently concluded Placement season 2015 at IIM Lucknow

Reposing and reinstating the faith in the MBA education imparted by IIMs in the country, more national and international companies have visited IIM Lucknow with more offers and higher salary packages in Placement 2015. The largest ever batch comprising 453 students received 463 offers in the recently concluded Placement season 2015 at IIM Lucknow that again achieved 100% placement.

More offers from more recruiters with higher packages witnessed the IIML placement 2015. Jubiliating on the grand success of placement season 2015 for PGP class 2013-15, sources at IIM Lucknow commented “Given the encouraging economic situation, IIM-L attracted diverse roles in the finance domain.”

The industry reinstated its faith in IIML as more number of past recruiters and first time recruiters participated in the placement process 2015. Another feature in the placement 2015 was the diversity of profiles offered to the students.

Key Trends in placement 2015
IIM Lucknow has a track record of 100% placement. Entire batch of 453 students of PGP class 2013-15 at this highly ranked B school has been placed with high salary offers.

Students were offered roles in Sales & Marketing, Finance, consulting, IT/systems, E-commerce and General Management.

More recruiters with more offers
A total of  144 recruiters with 43 first time recruiters participated in the Final Placements 2015 at IIM Lucknow. 463 offers were made to 453 students participating in the placement process 2015.

The number of Pre-Placement offers saw a marked rise in placement 2015 with 93 offers being made to the students based on their performance in summer internship.

23% rise in Lateral Offers
Placement 2015 at IIM Lucknow witnessed 163 Lateral offers from the higher entry placement process (HEPP) and 207 offers from the final placement. Placement 2015 saw an increase of 23% in number of lateral offers over placement 2014

Top Recruiters
Top Recruiters in final placement 2015 at IIM Lucknow included ABG, Accenture Management Consulting, Amazon, Barclays, BCG, Cognizant Business Consulting, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, KPMG, McKinsey, Reliance Industries, Samsung, Snapdeal and Star TV. These companies recruited more number of students with higher salary packages.

Diversity of roles offered
43 first time recruiters visited IIM-L for placement 2015. Out of them 60 per cent made offers in the sales & marketing, finance and e-commerce sector.

Domain wise placement
25% of the batch was placed in Sales and Marketing domain followed by  Finance with 22%; Consulting with 21%; E-commerce with 15%; Systems/IT with 10% and General Management with 7%
Accenture Management Consulting, A.T. Kearney, BCG, Deloitte, E&Y, KPMG, McKinsey and PwC were the top recruiters in Consulting domain.

General Management domain had the recruiters like Aditya Birla Group (ABG), JSPL, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance Industries and TAS among others P&G, HUL and Kraft-Cadbury were the top three recruiters in FMCG.  Airtel, Coke, GSK Consumer, HT Media, ITC, Pepsi and Vodafone were  the other major recruiters in FMCG, Consumer goods, Telecom and Digital Media in placement 2015 at IIM Lucknow Avendus Capital, BAML, Barclays, Citibank, CRISIL, Development Bank of Singapore, Edelweiss, Goldman Sachs, HDFC, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Nomura, Standard Chartered and Yes Bank were the top recruiters in BFSI sector.

E-commerce, IT, Technology saw the top recruiters like  Amazon, Appsdaily, Cognizant, Commonfloor, eBay, Flipkart, Google, HCL, Infosys, Magicbricks, Mindtree, PayTm, Shopclues, Snapdeal, Uber and Wipro.

IIM Lucknow. was established in 1984 and is the 4th IIM in the family of IIMs as it came into being after IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Bangalore.
