Putting an end to various speculations on timely conduct of MAHCET 2015 for MBA/MMS 2015-17 batch as per the pre declared dates on March 14 & 15, 2015, DTE Maharashtra has quietly posted the information to open the online registration process on Feb 18, 2015.

 

Posting on its site the notification on Feb 16, 2015, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra vide its notification ref MBA/MMS-CET 2015 NOTIFICATION –I No. 2A/ ADM/ Management/ 2015/294 dated Feb 13, 2015 has invited ‘online Applications for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2015 for admission to First Year of Two Year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in the Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.’  

 

Sharing the anxiety of MAHCET 2015 aspirants, MBAUniverse.com has been following up with the Director DTE Maharashtra regarding the undue delay in opening of registration/application process for MAHCET 2015 since the exam is less than a month away. As a result of consistent follow up by MBAUniverse.com, it appears that DTE Maharashtra has now issued the required notification with brief details for MAHCET 2015 registration and MBA/MMS admission process.

 

MAHCET 2015: Registration opens Feb 18

 

DTE Maharashtra has clarified that Online registration for MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015 through computer connected to Internet on the web site www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2015 will open on Feb 18, 2015 and will continue till 5 PM on Feb 27, 2015.

 

DTE has also allowed the late registration for MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015 on the aforesaid website till 5 PM on March 2, 2015. The Candidate has to submit and confirm the Online Application Form for CET through candidate login by himself/herself from the place convenient to him/her    
 
The registration process for MAHCET 2015 is online and it is suggested that the candidates should complete it as early as possible since there could be technical glitches in case you opt for late registration. According to DTE Maharashtra “The aspiring candidate shall follow the process of admission through the dedicated Online Application System.”

 

Registration Fee: Rs 1000/-

 

Registration fee for Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign Nationals / PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates is Rs 1000/-
However, For Candidates of Backward Class Categories SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only the registration fee is Rs 800/-

 

How to pay

 

Application form processing fee is to be paid at any Axis Bank Branch in cash through e-challan as per schedule during the working hours of the respective Branches.

 

The candidate can also do online payment of the fees by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card payment gateway for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.

 

No Offline Application submission

 

Applications sent by Post/Courier / by hand to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be made. It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification stage as per the notified schedule 

 

Admit Cards: March 10 onwards

 

According to DTE Maharashtra, “Issue of Hall Ticket through candidate’s login of successfully registered candidates shall be 10-03-2015 onwards”. Candidates will be able to view, download and print their hall tickets (Admit Cards) w e f March 10, 2015 onwards.

 

MAHCET 2015: Exam on March 14 & 15

 

MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2015 shall be conducted only in the Online mode in multiple sessions on March 14 & 15, 2015. Competent Authority, using standardized equi-percentile method, will be equating scores across sessions.

 

Exam pattern: 200 question in 150 minutes

 

DTE Maharashtra has declared that MAHCET 2015 will ‘comprise multiple choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Quantitative Aptitude and Logical / Abstract Reasoning’. In all there would be 200 questions to be answered in a total time of two and half hours (150 minutes).

 

Eligibility to appear

 

A candidate applying for MAHCET 2015 MBA/MMS exam should have passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

 

Candidates appearing for final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to appear for MAHCET 2015.

 

Other exam scores acceptable: Registration mandatory

 

According to DTE Maharashtra ‘Candidates who have appeared for CAT (conducted by IIMs)/ GMAT (conducted by GMAC, USA)/ CMAT 2015 (Conducted by AICTE)/MAT (conducted by AIMA in February 2015)/ XAT (conducted by XLRI)/ ATMA (conducted by AIMS)/ MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2015 are considered to be eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria. Such candidates are also required to fill & confirm online Application form as per the schedule.’

 

In case a candidate doesn’t register and apply for MAHCET 2015, he/she may not be considered eligible despite scoring high in any of the above exams. It is mandatory for all aspiring candidates to Register & Confirm the Online Application Form for MAH- MBA/MMS-CET 2015

 

Result on March 25, 2015

 

DTE Maharashtra the MAHCET 2015 conducting authority has announced that the declaration of the result of the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2015 will be made on its website on March 25, 2015 at 5.00PM.

 

Admission through CAP: will comprise 3 rounds

 

The admission to the management courses MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM through MAHCET 2015 is a centralized process and is covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried out by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra. DTE Maharashtra will shortly be notifying the details about the institutions offering PGDM courses & participating in CAP before the start of the filling of Option form.

 

The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will consist of total 3 rounds. The first two rounds shall be based on computerized allotment and the third round by counselling.
 
Information Brochure will be made available online soon by DTE Maharashtra for detailed Eligibility criteria, Type of candidature and steps in the entire process of admission including Document Verification, Centralized Admission Process, for securing admission against the Maharashtra seats, All India seats, Minority seats, Institute level seats and procedure of admission.  

 

Admission in aided and unaided B schools

 

Candidates applying for admission to First Year of 2 year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in the Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State will be considered for admission after registration for MAHCET 2015.
