Candidates who have not been able to score high in CMAT 2015 first test have the opportunity to improve their scores in CMAT 2015 second test

True to the legacy of conducting CMAT, AICTE began CMAT 2015 second test on time at the testing centres  in most of the regions in the country. Allaying the fear of technical glitches and management problems at the test centres, the first session on the first day of CMAT 2015 commenced at 9.30 AM on Feb 19, 2015 the first day of the exam. It has been more than one hour to the exam but no report so far has been received about any problem due to which CMAT 2015 second test couldn’t begin on time.

Test takers gathered at 8 AM

Candidates gathered in good number at the CMAT  exam centre in the morning around 8 AM on February 19, 2015 to brave the first session of CMAT 2015 second test. Most of the test takers had gathered by 8 AM and the gates of the exam centre were opened around 8.05 AM.

Some of the CMAT 2015 invigilation team members were seen coming even till 8.30 AM. Candidates who arrived till 8.30 or even a little late were also frisked with security check and were allowed to enter the testing room.

Initially a long queue got formed before the security check point. However, it continued moving  and by 8.30-8.45 the handling became smooth.  The cool morning also helped the candidates to continue standing and basking in Sun in the early morning without any complaints.

CMAT 2015 second test aspirants began pouring in from  8 AM onwards as was instructed by AICTE in the press release as well as in the admit card issued to the candidates.  The check in was smooth although number of candidates arrived as late as around 9 AM. However all of them were accommodated.

Next session at 2.30: Report at 1 PM

CMAT second session on the first day will begin at 2.30 PM and the candidates allotted the second slot today are supposed to arrive at the test centre on or before 1 PM for security checks, identity verification and check in, as per the instructions of AICTE, the CMAT 2015 second test conducting authority.

400+ B schools to accept CMAT 2015 (second test) scores

CMAT is convened by AICTE twice a year. CMAT 2015 first test was held in the month of September 2014. Many highly ranked B schools accepting CMAT scores for admission to their various management programmes in 2015 have closed their admission process in the month of January/February 2015 after the declaration of CAT 2014 and XAT 2015 result. These B schools have specified that they would consider only CMAT 2015 (First test) scores.

But more than 400 B schools including many top rated ones propose to accept CMAT 2015 second test scores for admission 2015. Most of the candidates who have not been able to score high in CMAT 2015 first test have the opportunity to improve their scores in CMAT 2015 second test since better of the 2 scores will be considered by these B schools.

4 days- 8 sessions of CMAT

The testing window for CMAT 2015 second test will remain open till Feb 22, 2015 and exam will be conducted in 2 sessions each day making it of 8 sessions in 4 day testing window. Number of reports anticipated the technical glitches that could mark the beginning of CMAT 2015 second test but all such fears have been put to rest as CMAT 2015 second test began with its pristine glory without any technical issues.

CBT: Difficult to predict the technical issues

Candidates were seen discussing the fear of anticipated technical glitches at the centre during the examination. The fear was not also unfounded as a Computer Based Test is fraught with technical glitches resulting in delaying the exam session and creating anxiety among the test takers.

Keeping their fingers crossed, candidates moved on and were seen entering the testing lab slowly. A few of them, knowing that no breaks would be allowed during the examination, preferred to go to the washroom before entering the testing lab.

The doors of the testing room were closed at 9.15 AM although a few candidates still continued pouring in. The invigilator in the testing lab read out the instructions and clearly advised the candidates how to behave in the testing room and begin the test.

It has been more than an hour and the test is being conducted at the exam centre with no technical glitches.
