MAHCET 2015 aspirants have only 4 days left for this another important management entrance test which is going to be held on March 14 & 15, 2015 in 61 cities across the country. MAHCET 2015 will be a computer based test comprising 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) with 4 answer options following each question. The test will have 3 sections namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension; Quantitative Aptitude and Logical & Abstract Reasoning.
Although Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has not mentioned the name of data sufficiency, it will also form the part of Quantitative Aptitude section. The test has to be attempted in 150 minutes without any sectional time constraints.

Next 4 days: 50 questions can turn the tables
There are around 47 to 50 questions on quantitative ability and data sufficiency. Around 16 questions can be expected in data sufficiency/interpretation part. Since the test contains 200 questions to be solved in 150 minutes with no negative marking, one must mark answer for all the questions without wasting any second. If you are not able to solve a question, you can guess and pick the most appropriate option rather than leaving the question un-attempted.

Geometry : Geometry is another important topic. Questions will be easy on geometry, if you are well prepared with basic concepts.

Q2.(3) [(85+95)/85]*100 = 200(approx)

Q5. (1) We can solve it easily by using ratio and proportion. Let boys and girls are 4x and 5x. So, (4x+y)/(5x-5) = 1:1 . As this equation consists two variable so we cannot find the value of y.

Q7. (2)It is based on simple geometry. After equating the area , we will get the sides of the rectangular field.

Tips to crack
MAHCET 2015 aspirants should focus in next 3-4 days on the topics and sub-topics as discussed above. Since questions in Quant need more practice and are sometimes based on a combination of different sub topics or concepts, it is advisable to attempt as many practice questions on varying concepts.
- Quant concepts for all the examinations are more or less same. It will be better to get the attempted questions analysed by experts and get the confusions cleared and errors rectified.
- Avoid beginning new and difficult to understand type of topics now. It will be better to strengthen your strong areas and revise the formulas in this short period.
- Please remember with no negative marking attached to MAHCET 2015 most of the candidates will attempt almost all the questions if the time permits. The best way is to go from moderate to difficult questions gradually. Guess work might be tried when you are unable to attempt more quant/DI questions.
Manage time
200 questions in 150 minutes mean less than 1 minute per question.
