MBAUniverse.com begins its 2 day first annual Asian Management Conclave (AMC) in Singapore today on March 12, 2015
More than 100 Deans from leading B-schools in China, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and many other countries are participating in AMC 2015

Marching on the Pan-Asia management education platform after five successful editions of India’s biggest MBA conferences and overwhelming response to Asian Management Conclave in Shanghai, MBAUniverse.com begins its 2 day first annual Asian Management Conclave (AMC) in Singapore today on March 12, 2015. The Conclave is hosted by Singapore Management University (SMU)
The theme for 1st Asian Management Conclave 2015 Singapore is 'Asian Management Education: Strategies to Leapfrog'. More than 100 Deans from leading B-schools in China, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and many other countries are participating in AMC 2015.  The conclave is supported by AACSB International and European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Strategic Partner is Bloomberg. GMAC (owners of GMAT exam) and Harvard Business Publishing are supporting the conference as Knowledge Partners.

The Asian management Conclave begins its registration session at 8.30 AM today on March 12, 2015  at Singapore Management University (SMU) campus while the inaugural session begins at 10.30 AM.
After attracting Presidents and Deans from leading Asian B-schools like HKUST Business School, AIM Manila, SASIN Thailand, Shanghai's Antai College of Economics and Management, and the IIMs, the inaugural Asian Management Conclave Singapore is to be addressed by CXOs from Microsoft, Canon, MasterCard, Dunia Finance Dubai among others. These corporate leaders will represent the voice of recruiters and address a panel on Recruiting MBAs in Asia - what's good and what's missing.

Eminent speakers including renowned educationists, corporate leaders from all over the world have gathered to participate and give their best minds to the conclave.

After the welcome address by Mr Amit Agnihotri, Founder, MBAUniverse.com, Convener, Asian Management Conclave, inaugural Address is going to be delivered by Dr Jitendra V Singh, Dean, School of Business and Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong on Role for Asia in 21st Century Management Education, followed by Address by Host and Partner Dr Gerard George, Dean and Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University.

Keynote Address will be delivered on the theme ‘Globalising MBA Education: What Asia can offer to the World’ by Dr Pankaj Ghemawat, Professor, Global Management & Director, Center for Globalization of Education & Management, Stern School of Business, New York University; Anselmo Rubiralta Professor Global Strategy, IESE Business School.

Post lunch sessions will be addressed by Mr Joel Pannikot, Head, Asia-Pac Strategy (Education), Bloomberg. It will be followed by 2 mind storming plenary sessions. Tomorrow on March 13, 2015 Asian Management Conclave will have special address on ‘International B-school in Asia: Role and Expectation’ by Dr Sunil Kumar, Dean and George Pratt Shultz Professor of Operations Management, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Chicago and a special address on The Upcoming ASEAN Integration and Management Education by Dr Steven J DeKrey, President, Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines.

The 3rd plenary session on March 13 to discuss on ‘Recruiting MBAs in Asia: Understanding Corporate Expectations’ will be well addressed by  Mr Steve Burton, Deputy Director, Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes, Singapore Management University; Dr Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Strategy, South East & South Asia Region, Canon Singapore; Ms Anna Fourie, APAC University Staffing Consultant, Microsoft; Ms Mariam Elsamny, Chief Marketing Officer, Dunia Finance, Dubai; Mr Karan Khemka, Partner and Co-Head of the Education Practice, The Parthenon Group, Singapore; Ms Rohini Menezes, Program Manager – Talent Management, MasterCard Asia Pacific, Singapore.

The final plenary session will be on ‘AMC Doing Business in Asia-Curriculum Development Project’. To make real impact, in partnership with leading Asian business schools, the Asian Management Conclave aims to coordinate the development of a ‘Doing Business in Asia’ curriculum. Asian B-schools from China, Japan, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Middle-East have come together to develop this curriculum, focusing on their respective countries. This initiative will benefit both Asian B-schools and B-schools in the rest of the world.

Doing Business in China will be addressed by Dr Li Haitao, Associate Dean, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, China; Dr Yuan Lu, Dean, Business School, Shantou University, China. Prof Tomoya Nakamura, Dean, GSM - GLOBIS University, Japan will speak about Doing Business in Japan. Doing Business in India will be the theme of address by Dr H Chaturvedi, Director, Birla Institute of Management Technology, India and Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Department Director, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, India. Dr Kevyn Yong, Academic Dean, ESSEC Business School Asia Pacific will deliver the speech on Doing Business in Singapore and Dr Roy Sembel, Dean, IPMI International Business School, Indonesia on Doing Business in Indonesia. The ‘Doing Business in Thailand’ will be discussed by Dr Danuvasin Charoen, Acting Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, NIDA Business School, Thailand and on Doing Business in Malaysia Dr Sofri Yahya, Dean, Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia will speak in detail.  Dr Mohammed Ali, Dean, School of Business Administration, American University in Dubai and Dr Geoffrey G Gachino, Acting Dean, College of Business Administration, University of Dubai, Dubai will throw light on Doing Business in Middle East.

The Conclave with commitment to have its next round in 2016 will draw its curtain on March 13, 2015 with Post Conference Bonus Session at ESSEC Asia Pacific Singapore Campus.
