IIM Ahmedabad to distribute Indian case studies all over the world; joins hands with Ivey Business School

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and the Ivey Business School, Canada have signed MoU to create and distribute business cases

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India, and the Ivey Business School, Western University, Canada, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to create and distribute business cases  that are used as classroom teaching tools in Universities around the world. The initial agreement extending for a period of 3 years, was signed by Prof. Ashish Nanda, Director, IIMA and Prof. Robert Kennedy, Dean, Ivey Business School.

 

Case studies of IIM Ahmedabad are much sought after by the management institutes across the world for MBA education. According to Prof Ashish Nanda Director IIM Ahmedabad “At present, IIMA has more than 3,700 registered cases, which are largely distributed online through IIMA’s website”

 

Ivey Business School, Canada is globally recognized for its rich creation and distribution of case studies all over the world. The case studies are published and distributed by Ivey Publishing, the Case Publishing House of Ivey Business School. In the last six years, Ivey has built the largest collection of India based business cases in the world. For almost a decade, it has been the world’s largest publisher of Asian cases, with Harvard in second place. Globally, Ivey is the second largest producer and distributer of business case studies.
 
The partnership is an outcome of the dialogue between IIMA’s Case Centre and Ivey Publishing. Speaking on the occasion Prof Ashish Nanda, Director IIM Ahmedabad said “Both the schools have an excellent track record and history of developing quality business cases, nurtured by the environment of research. The coming together of these two global B-Schools,will ensure that quality Indian case studies are easily accessible for teaching and research the world over.” 

 

The partnership is expected to further solidify Ivey’s position as the leading distributor of Indian business cases.  At present, over 300 universities actively use Ivey’s India case collection in their management and executive education programmes to enable their management students understand the complex business challenges of India and the region.

 

Speaking on the partnership Robert Kennedy, Dean, Ivey Business School, said, “Ivey is proud of our high-quality collection of Indian business cases and we are excited to partner with IIMA. The partnership is a natural fit for Ivey as IIMA is well-known for producing excellent materials relevant for teaching business decision-making skills and for attracting top-flight student talent to their institution.”
 
Prof. Kennedy and Prof. Nanda also discussed additional areas of potential collaboration, including an MBA student exchange programme, cooperation on Executive Education programmes, and faculty collaboration.
