Many B schools not accepting CMAT scores are still shown in the AICTE list claiming that they are accepting CMAT scores

A large number of candidates awaiting CMAT Feb 2015 result have been raising innumerable queries on the declaration of AICTE-CMAT 2015 second test result, institutes accepting CMAT 2015 scores, admission prospects, how to use the result and other key facts about CMAT. MBAUniverse.com learning team has compiled and responds to CMAT 2015 second test result related queries of the aspirants to enable them to choose the right B school after declaration of CMAT Feb 2015 results.

In fact the fate of thousands of MBA aspirants who appeared in CMAT 2015 second test in Feb 2015, conducted by AICTE for admission 2015 in MBA/PGDM programmes across India, is going to be decided on March 25, 2015. Number of AICTE approved B schools have either kept their applications dates open or have extended the same for want of declaration of second CMAT Feb 2015 results.

CMAT 2015: score validity

Candidates have been raising query whether the CMAT Feb 2015 score be valid for admission in 2016 also. CMAT Feb 2015 is the second test for admission session 2015-16. The first test was conducted in the month of September 2014. Therefore the CMAT 2015 second test score will be valid for the admission for the academic year 2015-16 only and cannot be carried forward to academic session 2016-17.

Will CMAT 2015 Result be on time…

Another query in the minds of CMAT 2015 takers is whether AICTE would be able to announce the CMAT 2015 second test result on pre declared date of March 25, 2015 or the same could be delayed. The very basis of this query is that the result of MAHCET 2015 for admission to MBA/MMS 2015-17 programme is also proposed to be declared on March 25, 2015. Candidates are worried that in case of delay they might lose the admission opportunity in preferred B school.

According to AICTE the CMAT 2015 second test result is expected to be declared on March 25, 2015. Going by the past trend AICTE declares the CMAT result on the pre announced date and we may expect the same trend to continue for CMAT 2015 second test also.

How to get the CMAT 2015 result

Where shall we get the result from? Will the hard copy of result be sent to the aspirant’s address- are some of the queries raised by the CMAT takers.

AICTE has clarified that the CMAT 2015 second test result can be viewed and downloaded from AICTE site. Candidates can view, download and take out the print of the said downloaded result. However, no hardcopy of the result is proposed to be provided AICTE. Candidates can also get their results known by registering at MBAUniverse.com site http://www.mbauniverse.com

Raw or Percentile scores in CMAT result

Hitherto AICTE has been providing CMAT result with raw scores and without percentile scores. With effect from the last CMAT exam, the result declared by AICTE has not only provided the raw scores, National & State level ranking but also the percentile based scores.

CMAT has 100 questions with a maximum score of 400. The result will provide number of marks scored out of the maximum marks, National ranks and percentile scores now.
However, AICTE doesn’t propose to use sectional cut off based scores in CMAT Feb 2015 result. Only in case of clash in ranking the sectional scores will be used.

Another important query raised by CMAT takers is to know about the institutes and Universities that are going to accept CMAT Feb 2015 scores for admission year 2015-16. This query has a great relevance concerning the future of CMAT takers.

According to AICTE, 13 State Universities of Chhatisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland,  Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and other private B schools approved by AICTE will accept the CMAT scores

The fact is contrary to AICTE claim. AICTE has not been updating its site for quite some time. Many B schools not accepting CMAT scores are still shown in the AICTE list claiming that they are accepting CMAT scores. The B schools like JBIMS Mumbai, SPJIMR Mumbai, IMI New Delhi, FORE New Delhi and many more who no longer accept CMAT scores are displayed on AICTE site with the caption that they accept CMAT scores. Candidates have to verify the facts from the B school or from MBAUniverse.com before getting trapped by the not updated list of AICTE.

The admission criteria
