MAH CET2015 takers are in a dilemma whether DTE Maharashtra will stick to its commitment of declaration of result on March 25, 2015 or plans to postpone the date
Now number of questions will not be evaluated and the result of MAH CET2015 would be declared using standardized equi-percentile method

MAH CET 2015 result for admission to MBA/MMS 2015-17 in Maharashtra B schools, as per the pre announced schedule is expected to be declared on March 25, 2015 but DTE Maharashtra has not provided any recent update on this issue. MAH CET2015 takers are in a dilemma whether Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will stick to its commitment of declaration of result on March 25, 2015 or plans to postpone the date of declaration of MAH CET2015 result.

Admission opportunities in top rated B schools like JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, NL Dalmiya, PUMBA, Singhad, IESMCRC, Durga Devi Saraf, Kohinoor, DY Patil are open for admission to MBA/MMS batch 2015-17 after declaration of MAH CET2015 results.

Evaluation criteria changed

The reason behind the expected delay in MAH CET2015 is not without substance as DTE has modified the evaluation criteria due to the appearance of wrong questions and answer options in MAH CET2015 exam. Now number of questions will not be evaluated and the result of MAH CET2015 would be declared using standardized equi-percentile method.  DTE Maharashtra shared this information vide its notification dated March 20, 2015. There is no mention of any change in date of declaration of MAH CET2015 result. It can be contemplated that the result could be on pre announced date in absence of any notification from DTE Maharashtra.

59 questions not to be evaluated

Out of 800 questions that appeared in total across all the 4 sessions of MAH CET2015, only 59 questions didn’t qualify for evaluation.  With the evaluation process is already on, MBAUniverse.com is hopeful that the result declaration date may not need to be extended. DTE Maharashtra however should send a confirmation to this effect so that the candidates can be assured of the result declaration date for MAH CET2015.

Slow DTE in 2015

DTE Maharashtra was much faster in conducting MAH CET2014 when it declared the result on April 9, 2014, 11 days prior to the pre scheduled date of April 21, 2014 for result declaration. The MAH CET2015 right from beginning has been passing through many hiccups and candidates are keeping their fingers crossed hoping for timely declaration of MAH CET2015 result without any technical glitches.

MAH CET2015 & CMAT 2015 results on same date

Gateway to 400 B schools, MAH CET2015 and CMAT 2015 second test results are proposed to be announced on the same date March 25, 2015. The scores of both the exams are accepted for admission in Maharashtra MBA/MMS programmes. If a candidate scores better in MAH CET2015 he can apply with MAH CETscores as the best score will be considered for admission process in Maharashtra.

But from academic session 2015-16 JBIMS, Mumbai the highly ranked B school of Mumbai University has stopped accepting CMAT scores. Now the candidate can apply to this top B school with only CAT or MAH CETscores. The B school also has devised its individual separate admission application process which was closed on January 5, 2015.

Allotment of Maharashtra B schools

According to DTE Maharashtra it will be conducting the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2015 after declaration of MAH CET2015 result as the final round for admission in MBA/MMS 2015-17 programme. It is expected that CAP for admission to Maharashtra B schools would begin either late in the month of April 2015 or early in the month of May 2015. DTE proposes to announce the merit list in the last week of May 2015.  Allotment of the institute will be through CAP and will be based on your scored percentile and past academic record.

While All India Non Maharashtra candidates will be considered on the basis of their scores in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA along with MAH CET scores, Maharashtra state candidates will have the opportunity to be considered both as state level and All India Level candidates depending upon their choices opted while filling in the form and appearance in All India tests.
