MAH CET 2015: Result out after DTE site crash: 5 score highest 170; view your scores

DTE Maharashtra has declared MAH CET 2015 result on March 25, 2015 late evening after facing lot of technical glitches
In case of MS/OMS candidate seeking admission against All India Seats, the merit list will be prepared based on the highest percentile score obtained by the candidate

Despite changes in evaluation process, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has declared MAH CET 2015 result on March 25, 2015 late evening after facing lot of technical glitches in publishing the result. DTE website that ran smoothly till 4.30PM on March 25, 2015 suddenly stopped working and crashed around 4.55 PM with the message “This server is temporarily unable to service requests. Error code: 95” The site although started working around 6.10PM but there was no result till then.

Highest score up
5 candidates scored 170 marks out of 200 marks in MAH CET 2015 as against 158 marks which were the highest marks in MAH CET 2014. Lowest score ‘2’ was scored by 3 candidates and 5 candidates scored ‘0’ marks. There were 24 students who scored zero marks in MAH CET 2014.  Result consists of 57224 candidates including 5 candidates scoring ‘0’ marks.

According to DTE Maharashtra “In  case  of  MS/OMS  candidate  seeking  admission  against  All  India  Seats,  the  merit  list  will  be prepared  based  on  the  highest  percentile  score  obtained  by  the  candidate”

Score card enabled
MAH CET 2015 takers can view & download their score cards by login to DTE Maharashtra site. MAH-MBA/ MMS-CET 2015 marks have been displayed in terms of percentile on the scorecard of MAHMBA/MMS-CET 2015.

Candidates securing Non Zero Positive marks/score in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2015 have been found eligible to get admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course in the State of Maharashtra. Accordingly they have been awarded a place in merit as per the percentile scores secured by them. To view the score card candidates have to enter their application ID and seat number to see their result.

More than 95% took the test
As per DTE Maharashtra, total 60292 candidates registered for MAH CET 2015 exam including 3657 Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) category candidates. The percentage of Maharashtra State (MS) candidates who took the exam was as high as 94 to 97 at various test centres in Maharashtra. However, as anticipated by MBAUniverse.com there were only 85% percent candidates of Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) category who took the test, as per the data released by DTE Maharashtra.

In all 57219 candidates have qualified for admissions and would be eligible to participate in Centralized Admission Process to be conducted by DTE Maharashtra either late in the month of April or in early May 2015. The schedule for CAP round is yet to be notified by DTE Maharashtra. The final result is expected in the last week of May 2015. 5 students have not qualified as they scored zero marks.

59 questions not evaluated in MAH CET 2015
Out of 800 questions that appeared in total across all the 4 sessions of MAH CET 2015, 59 questions or their answer options were found wrong and hence didn’t qualify for evaluation. DTE has modified the evaluation criteria due to the appearance of these wrong questions and answer options in MAH CET 2015 exam. Accordingly the result of MAH CET 2015 has been declared using standardized equi-percentile method.  DTE Maharashtra shared this information vide its notification dated March 20, 2015.

DTE Server: Unable to cope with the pressure
MBAUniverse.com bearing the brunt of non-declaration of MAH CET 2015 result, till late evening continued pacifying the candidates who got panicky due to crashing of DTE site and were incessantly ringing up to know the status of MAH CET 2015 result. DTE Maharashtra was not able to cope with the high traffic and as such couldn’t declare and upload the MAH CET 2015 result on its site. DTE was well aware that more than 57000 candidates are supposed to view their score cards on its website but it neither make proper arrangements to upgrade the server nor it took care to issue any notification regarding anticipated delay in result declaration.

Result declared late evening
The result of MAH CET 2015 was eventually declared and uploaded by DTE Maharashtra on its site  late evening on March 25, 2015.  Candidates continued waiting but DTE couldn’t share any information when they would declare the result.
