MBAUniverse.com presents the expected MAHCET 2015 cut off, based on the past trends and scoring pattern in MAHCET 2015 for various highly ranked B schools

MAHCET 2015 results were declared on March 25, 2015. The results that were scheduled to be announced at 5 PM on March 25, 2015 could only be declared by DTE Maharashtra very late in the evening due to certain technical problems that caused the crash of DTE site from 4.45 to 6.10PM on the result day.

DTE Maharashtra however, managed the show and keeping its promise declared the MAHCET 2015 result on March 25, 2015 for admission to MBA/MMS 2015-17 programme. Higher number of MAHCET 2015 test takers than in MAHCET 2014 appeared in the exam. While there were around  53000 MAHCET 2014 takers, the result of MAHCET 2015 contains 57224 test takers. Out of this number 57219 have been declared qualified to participate in Centralized Admission Process to be conducted by DTE Maharashtra sometime in April-May 2015.

Such a high number of successful candidates in MAHCET 2015 and some of them with very high scores are now  trying to find the expected cut offs in leading B schools to explore admission opportunities in Maharashtra B schools.

Admission opportunities in top rated B schools like JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, NL Dalmiya, PUMBA, Singhad, IESMCRC, Durga Devi Saraf, Kohinoor, DY Patil are open for batch 2015-17 admission after declaration of MAHCET 2015 results.

Allotment of B schools

According to DTE Maharashtra it will be conducting the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in April-May 2015 and proposes to announce the merit list in the last week of May, 2015. Allotment of the institute will be through CAP and will be based on your MAHCET 2015 scores and past academic record.

Candidates aspiring to take admission in JBIMS Mumbai should note that this B school has become an autonomous institute and as such will not participate in DTE conducted CAP 2015 round and will conduct its own final admission round as per its admission criteria announced earlier.  However, the MAHCET 2015 scores will be accepted for admission to MBA 2015-17 by JBIMS Mumbai.

For other B schools, while All India Non Maharashtra candidates will be considered on the basis of their scores in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA along with MAH CET scores, Maharashtra state candidates will have the opportunity to be considered both as state level and All India Level candidates depending upon their choices opted while filling in the form and appearance in All India tests.

Higher cutoff expected

MAHCET 2015 results have awarded higher scores to more candidates. The highest score in MAHCET 2014 was 158 out of 200 marks, this year in MAHCET 2015 highest score has gone up to 170. More than 100 candidates have scored 158 and more marks in MAHCET 2015. According to this scoring trend, it is expected that cut-off scores in admission for MBA/MMS 2015-17 may also go up.

There are 457 students scoring more than 150 marks while 13750 candidates have scored more than 100 marks. But the silver line is that there is an intake of 44000 seats across Maharashtra B schools which imply that the final admission ratio between the intake and number of candidates is less than 1:1.5. The admission opportunity can be well explored making a judicious move in selecting the preferred B schools.

To help you decide which B school you could be allotted, MBAUniverse.com,  presents the expected MAHCET 2015 cut off, based on the past trends and  scoring pattern in MAHCET 2015 for various highly ranked  B schools in Mumbai and Pune.
