Placement 2015 for PGDM batch 2013-2015 at Birla Institute of Management and Technology (BIMTECH) is over, marking an increase of 10% in the highest and average salary in comparison to placement 2014. Key Trends in placement 2015
BIMTECH has a consistent record of very good placement. The placement season 2015 was no exception to this achievement.
As scheduled, the campus placement process at BIMTECH began on time. More students in 2015 sought placement in comparison to students in 2014.
Rise in Number of recruiters
Placement 2015 witnessed a rise in number of recruiters. There were 114 recruiters who visited the campus for recruitment in placement 2015. The year started with a surge with quality companies pitching in early. There were 40 new companies visiting the campus this year.
Among the top recruiters were Deloitte, Ernst & Young, GCMMF Ltd. (Amul), Madura Garments, Gati Ltd., Honda Cars India Ltd., Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., FujiFilm India Pvt. Ltd., KPMG, Ma Foi Strategic Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Adani Willmar, Berger Paints, Canon India Pvt. Ltd., Kansai Nerolac Paint Ltd., Bajaj Finserve Lending, Aviva India, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd., Bharti Axa General Insurance Co. Ltd., HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd.
Among the new entrants were Swiss Re (Fortune 500 company and world’s second-largest reinsurer after having acquired GE Insurance Solutions), American India Foundation (Indo-American venture supported by former US President Bill Clinton), Madura Garments, GCMMF Ltd. (Amul), Gati Ltd., FujiFilm India Pvt. Ltd., GIC Housing Finance Ltd., HCL Foundation, Welspun, Info Edge, Whirlpool
Highest & Average salary up
The upward swing in placement 2015 at BIMTECH Greater Noida shows a rising trend in the MBA job market. Beating the slowdown in placement offers, the placement season 2015 at BIMTECH saw a 10% rise in highest & Average salary. The highest placement offer in Marketing domain stood at Rs 11 lakhs and average compensation was Rs 7 lakhs followed by Finance with Rs 10 Lakhs as highest salary and Rs. 6.65 lakhs as average salary.
Human Resources (HR) students secured Rs.9 lakhs as highest salary and Rs.6.44 lakhs as average salary followed by Operations with almost at the same level. Retail management progromme broke the record with 8.50 lakhs as highest domestic salary and Rs. 20 lakhs as highest foreign salary package and Rs.5.75 lakhs as average salary. Insurance sector offered a highest package of Rs.7.20 lakhs with an average of Rs.5.50 lakhs.
Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) and consultancy emerged as the prominent recruiting sector in placement 2015 at BIMTECH. Other top segments with more role offers were IT & ITeS, Manufacturing, Retail, Consultancy, FMCG, Market Research, Media & Advertising, Logistics and Phramecuticals.
BIMTECH is one of the country’s top business schools currently ranked 6th among private B-Schools and 15th overall by National HRD Network (NHRDN) & People Matters B-School Ranking 2015. This ranking is of significant importance because it has been carried out by a national body of more than 13,000 recruiters and HR professionals as its members.
Students’ employability were boosted by BIMTECH offering KPMG Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, IIBA Certification, XED Intellect Training, Oysters Live Projects and more than 30 seminars and workshops conducted during the year.
