CMAT Feb 2015 takers should not think that they can not get admission in Maharashtra B schools if they did not register for MAH CET 2015 and thereby for CAP 2015.

Although most of the Maharashtra B schools governed and regulated by DTE Maharashtra would not allow admission in their respective MBA/MMS 2015-17 programmes, if you have not registered for MAH CET 2015, number of B schools offer admission to their PGDM programmes on the basis of CMAT scores.

While the registration process for MAH CET 2015 was closed a month back, the dates for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2015 have not yet been declared by Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra.

400 B schools with 44000 seats

There are around 400 B schools in Maharashtra offering admission to 44000 aspirants in their MBA/MMS/PGDM programmes 2015-17. No doubt a major chunk of these B schools have to fill up most of the seats only through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) to be conducted by DTE Maharashtra but many of the Maharashtra B schools offer AICTE approved PGDM programmes on the basis of CMAT scores and will directly accept the admission application. For admission to PGDM programmes these B schools accept CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT apart from MAH CET scores.

It means that those who have registered for MAH CET 2015 would take the route through CAP 2015 for MBA/MMS programmes and those who have not registered for MAH CET 2015 will apply direct for admission to PGDM programmes in their preferred B schools based on their CMAT scores. Hence the admission opportunities in B schools in Maharashtra without registering for CAP round can also be explored.
