Beating the slowdown in placement offers, the placement season 2015 at SIBM saw a rise in Average salary from Rs. 7.9 lakhs per annum in 2014 to Rs.8.53 lakhs per annum in 2015

Symbiosis Instutute of Business Management(SIBM), Bengaluru placement 2015 has created new records with active participation from leading companies across sectors offering quality profiles to the Graduating Batch. Future leaders at SIBM Bengaluru bagged pre-placement offers in companies such as JP Morgan, Dell, Genpact, Fidelity Investments, Capgemini, Puma among others.

In addition to the regular recruiters, SIBM Bengaluru hosted several first time recruiters such as Bharti AXA, Mercedes Benz, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Group, British Telecom, Bisleri, IBM, Honeywell and Airtel for final placements and summer internships

Key Trends in placement 2015

SIBM Bengaluru has a consistent record of high placement. The placement season 2015 was no exception to this legacy. Entire placement 2015 process at SIBM was managed by Student Placement Committee at the B school. At SIBM Bengaluru, the Student Activities being conceived, budgeted and managed by Students provides a conducive platform for young minds to unleash their potential, dream big, look beyond the horizon, seize opportunities, think radically, strengthen corporate relations, never stop learning and most importantly, never stop growing.
 
SIBM Batch Profile

There were 169 students seeking placement 2015 at SIBM. Out of the batch, 115 students are from engineering back ground; 18 from commerce; 16 from management; 7 from Science; 6 from Arts; 4 from Pharmacy; 2 from computer applications and 1 from Dental Science. While there are 72 freshers rest others are with work experience varying from 6 months to more than 3 years. The students seeking placement got suitable offers from reputed recruiters offering diverse profiles in placement 2015.

Average salary up

Beating the slowdown in placement offers, the placement season 2015 at SIBM saw a rise in Average salary from Rs. 7.9 lakhs per annum in 2014 to Rs.8.53 lakhs per annum in 2015 showing a rising trend in the job market. Apart from this highlight, another achievement at SIBM Bengaluru placement 2015 is that highest salary has also gone up from Rs. 14.95 lakhs per annum to Rs.15.5 Lakhs per annum in 2015.

Rise in PPOs

Pre placement offers (PPOs) also saw a rise in placement 2015. 18 PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers) from their summer internships were offered to the students. It emphasises that the students from SIBM are proving their mettle in the industry again.
 
Diverse Profiles in different sectors

Final placements for the batch of 2013-15 saw tremendous growth in the diversity of profiles offered comprising of Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Social Media Marketing, B2B & B2C Marketing, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Market Research, Investment Banking, Equity Research, Credit Risk Analysis, Logistics, Strategic Sourcing, Consulting, Corporate HR and the like.

The magnitude of eminent students hired by SIBM Bengaluru major and regular recruiters saw a significant rise with placements almost nearing its completion sooner than expected.

Finance

Financial Roles like Investment Banking, Equity Research, Financial Consulting, Credit Analyst, Credit Rating, Corporate Finance and Financial Operations were offered by companies like Dell, CRISIL, Fidelity Investments, Bharti AXA, J.P. Morgan, South Indian Bank.

Marketing

B2B Sales, Key Accounts Management, Marketing & Business Development roles were offered by some of the majors like Cisco, Puma, MTR Foods, Fidelity Investments, Zomato, HDFC Life, Tata Motors, Accenture, Groupon.

Operations

Recruiters like Accenture, Aspect Ratio, Genpact, HP, Infosys, Mahindra Logistics, Manipal Group, Capgemeni, Fidelity Investments, Wipro and Syntel offered Analytics, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Consultancy roles in different domains like Supply Chain, Quality Excellence, Strategy and Management.

Human Resources

Companies like Bharti AXA, Infosys, L&T, Manipal Group and Genpact offered roles such as HR Analyst, Corporate HR, Consulting and Human Capital Advisory for students in HR
 
IT/ITES & Consulting: Highest recruiting sectors

29% of the batch was placed in IT/ITES sector in placement 2015 at SIBM Bengaluru. Other prominent recruiting sectors have been Consulting with 25%; Logistics with 13%; BFSI with 10%; Automobile with 7%; FMCG 3% and rest 13% included all other sectors.

Symboisis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Benguluru is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU). The B school was established in 2008 and is one of the sought after Business Schools in India.

SIBM Bengaluru has an intake of 150 students for its flagship MBA programme. Admissions are through Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) which is conducted for admission to 13 management colleges across India. The complete admission process is under one umbrella. On line Registration for SNAP 2015 for admission to MBA 2016-18 batch is expected to open in the month of September 2015 and the exam is expected to be conducted in the middle of December 2015.
