All India management Association (AIMA) is going to close the availability of Registration and application forms to next Management Aptitude Test (MAT) May 2015 on April 18, 2015. The registration process for MAT May 2015 was opened in the first week of March 2015 is proposed to be closed on April 18 while the last date of receipt of filled in online registration form at AIMA New Delhi is April 21, 2015.

 

MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). Usually there are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December.  MAT scores are considered for admission by number of management institutes offering PGDM programmes which are equivalent to MBA.

 

MAT scores accepted in 600 B schools

 

Apart from other All India MBA/PGDM entrance exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT, MAT is also a standardised test. The exam is being administered since 1988 to facilitate B-Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a National Level test in 2003.

 

Any B-School-national or international can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. AIMA claims that MAT is the largest test of its kind in the nation. More than 600 institutes across India accept MAT scores. On February 18, 2013 Hon’ble Supreme Court of India allowed the petition to continue MAT as an entrance test to PGDM institutes.

 

Registration to close in a week  

 

Registration for MAT May 2015 is open now. Last date of sale of forms for MAT May 2015 test is April 18, 2015. Candidates can buy the forms from the designated AIMA Nodal centres across India. Candidates have the option of online registration also. However the last date for the on line registration as well as for buying the application form is April 18, 2015. The MAT May 2015 registration application complete in all respect should be received at AIMA New Delhi latest by April 21, 2015.

Online

 

You may register online at AIMA website link for MAT May 2015 and can pay through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking

 

By Bank draft

 

Candidates can obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Then they can register online at AIMA website. You should fill up the registration form alongwith the DD details.

 

Payment in Cash

 

Candidates can obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed Nodal Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.
 

Choice of 5 top B schools

 

MAT May 2015 registration and application process has provided the facility of filling up 5 free choices of Management Institutes in order of preference in the application form.

 

MAT May 2015 available Offline or Online

 

AIMA provides two options to appear in MAT. Candidates can appear either in paper-pencil mode examination or in online computer based test. However no candidate can exercise both the options.

 

MAT May 2015: Exam dates

 

Test dates for Paper pencil mode and for Computer based test in MAT May 2015 would be different as follows. Candidates can opt for either of the two.

 

Paper pencil mode- MAT in Paper pencil mode will be conducted on Sunday May 3, 2015. The test will be of 150 minutes and will be conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM.

 

Computer Based online test- Candidates opting for CBT online test will be required to appear in the test from Saturday May 9, 2015 onwards. The test will be held in different time slots subject to availability. According to AIMA ‘If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 09 May 2015 itself.’  It implies that in case there is more number of candidates the test may be conducted in the forthcoming days as well.

 

51 centres for paper pen test

 

Out of 63 test cities in India and abroad, MAT May 2015 in computer based test form will be conducted only at 12 centres. Rest of the test centres will have the facility of paper pen based test. Besides, the venues for paper pencil mode test and computer based tests will also be different from one another.

 

Admit card available from April 25  

 

All the registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can download their Admit Card from AIMA website from April 25, 2015 onwards.  Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. No separate Admit Card will be issued and sent to a candidate.
 
Admit Card will contain Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test.

 

MAT online: Choose Date and Slot

 

Candidates who have opted for MAT May 2015 Computer Based Test can choose the date and time slot of their choice, subject to availability. Date and time slot will be automatically allotted by the system to those candidates who do not select their slot up to 4 days before the Computer Based Test. No request for change of date and time slot will be entertained by AIMA.

 

Exam Pattern: MAT May 2015

 

MAT, May 2015 will be an objective type test with multiple-choice Questions (MCQs). The test will be divided among 5 key sections on which questions will be formed. Each of the 5 sections will have 40 questions making it a total of 200 questions to be solved in 150 minutes.

 

The sections are Language Comprehension, Mathematical skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment.
